👆 EU-China Industrial Innovation Zone is located in one of 4 major areas for biomedical development in China. It is located in #Wuxi - city of 7mln citizens, located close to Shanghai. ⭕ During roundtable discussion about international collaboration Magdalena Kulczycka,Ph.D.Kulczycka,Ph.D., director of Związek BioForum and Central European BioForum, had the privilege to present #polishbiotech ecosystem to Chinese and European partners. 🔚 #BIOEuropeSpring is coming to an end. We are wrapping up three days of learnings, partnering meetings, and promoting the #BioRegionCatalonia. In this edition, hosted in #Barcelona, a noteworthy delegation of professionals and companies based in Catalonia have taken part: 💼 150 delegates 🚀 90 companies & startups During the event, the attendees had the chance to discover firsthand that, as Robert Fabregat Fuentes (Biocat's CEO) says, #Catalonia is not just a good innovative ecosystem but: 💬 “it is one of the most importants in Europe and around the world. We are at the TOP 10 position in the development of clinical trials, in retention of #investment for our companies and in the number of papers and scientific publications”. Northway Biotech, a key player in #Lithuanian 🇱🇹 biotech, has launched the construction of Europe's largest #biotechnology 🧬 hub, Bio City, in #Vilnius. 💬 CEO Vladas Algirdas Bumelis highlighted the transformative impact of this initiative on Lithuania's life sciences sector, aiming to position the country as a high-tech leader in #Europe. 🌐 Bio City's vast expanse, equivalent to 10 football fields, will house four factories, and two research centres, and create 2,000+ jobs with a 7 billion euro investment over the next decade. 📈 #Lithuania has set its sights on #biotech contributing at least 5 percent to the country's GDP by 2030, signifying the strategic significance of initiatives like Bio City in driving economic growth and technological progress. What a great bunch from the School of Health Innovation! The initiative is financed by Novo Nordisk Foundation and is a collaboration between University of Copenhagen (Københavns Universitet), Universitetet i Oslo, Karolinska Institutet, and Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). A big part of doing biotech is creating reason to believe that the product will work in the patients, without pouring piles of cash into the project. It is all data, data, data. In fact, data is what most bioentrepreneurs will ever sell. That's why we took them to the core of our activity - the lab where it all happens. #oslo #biotech #sharelab
