The University of Michigan Women of Color Task Force is excited to host its 42nd annual Career Conference on Friday, March 1, 2024 (winter break). This year's event will offer a flexible format allowing registrants to choose an in-person and/or virtual conference experience based on their preference. All U-M staff, faculty, students, and the public, regardless of gender or ethnicity, are invited to register to attend this inclusive professional development event. This year's conference theme is "Centering the Voice of Women of Color: Navigating the Digital Age and Cultural Change" with a focus on integrating Artificial Intelligence tools into your leadership and career development journey. Our conference keynote program will feature remarks from Dr. Ravi Pendse, U-M Vice President for Information Technology/Chief Information Officer, and a presentation by Ms. Tia White, General Manager of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and Analytics at Amazon Web Services. These two pioneering industry leaders will share their career trajectories, discuss how they incorporate inclusion and equity in their approach to leading diverse teams, and speak to the development of innovative AI tools available for educational institutions. The keynote lecture will take place on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Hill Auditorium starting at 8:30 am. This opening session is free and open to the general public; however, to view the keynote program online, conference registration is required. Workshops: Pre-registration is required to participate in all 27 workshop sessions and attend the conference luncheon due to capacity limitations.
