Looking at the evolving #HIV landscape, we observed #HCP sentiments towards ViiV Healthcare's product, #Apretude, that has the potential to reduce a patient's HIV treatment from 365 pills a year to 6 yearly injections. Key themes were around promising clinical data, cost effectiveness of the product and potential aspects of ViiV Healthcare's clinical trial that may have been overlooked. Bless God for His Light!! A few weeks back, our team's paper on addressing the dwindling state of HIV/AIDS care funding especially in low and middle income countries where the epidemic is most rife and severe was published. In our paper, we mentioned the grim consequences that'll ensue if the funding for #HIV/AIDS medications (that makes them free) is not restored to the pre-2000s level as the incidence of #AIDS(especially in younger population) is on the rise.
