We are excited to start a collaboration with Blue Spirit Aero to jointly drive the acceleration of aviation's decarbonization journey. Based in France, Blue Spirit Aero is developing a family of innovative hydrogen-electric aircraft with low noise signature and reduced operational costs aimed at the RAM/AAM market. These benefits are attained through the hydrogen-electric powertrain and the distributed electric propulsion (DEP) architecture. Olivier Savin, Blue Spirit Aero CEO: “The renewed growth of air travel after the pandemic proves that people still want aviation to be a part of their way of life. Simultaneously, the need to make aviation more sustainable is widely recognized as a major societal obligation for the years to come. That's why Blue Spirit Aero is delighted to partner with Skyfinity to help decarbonize aviation. Directly involving air travellers in this global challenge clearly is an accelerator to the successful emergence of sustainable solutions such as our Dragonfly hydrogen aircraft!” Maurice Boon, Skyfinity Chairman: “Blue Spirit Aero is pushing the boundary of hydrogen propulsion for the general aviation market and providing a stepping stone for larger scale hydrogen aviation. We look forward to supporting them achieve their mission.” Developing net-zero aviation technologies requires a series of investments that can be enabled by leisure and business travellers through Skyfinity’s non-profit foundation. Take flight towards sustainability with Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)! Produced from renewable sources like used cooking oil and animal fat waste, SAF aims to shrink the aviation industry's carbon footprint.✈️ The beauty of SAF? It seamlessly replaces conventional jet fuel, fitting into existing aircraft engines without a hitch. As demand soars, so does interest in this eco-friendly alternative.🌍 In 2023, United Airlines aimed high, tripling their SAF use. Meanwhile, Finnair made history with a 750-ton SAF order! Investors are also fueling the future, with SAF startups raising a whopping $1.05B. #SustainableAviation #GreenSkyRevolution (Source: Exploding Topics) #TrendingTopicTuesday #ProvidentOakFinancial

Imagine a world where retired aeroplanes are transformed into valuable resources for a greener future instead of rusting away in junkyards. This is the stuff of Karina Cady’s dreams. As CEO of Nandina REM, a trailblazer in the aeroplane recycling industry, Cady sees a great deal of untapped potential in these retired giants of the sky. Through innovative technology, Nandina REM is able to recover high-quality materials like carbon fibre and aluminium from these aircraft, which, unbeknowst to many, still boast the same high-performance qualities as the virgin materials used to build new aeroplanes. This wondrous circularity will be the future of sustainable transportation far beyond just aviation. Cady’s goal for Nandina REM? To cut emissions by a staggering one gigatonne by 2030. “The road ahead is undoubtedly challenging, but the potential rewards are immeasurable,” says Cady, “by giving retired aeroplanes a second life, we are not just decarbonising the skies but building a more sustainable future for generations to come.” Read her full story below. #ThoughtLeadership #Entrepreneurship #Aviation
