Hello everybody. My name is Chris and I direct stuff. Once Upon a time, I was asked to very briefly highlight three aspects of storytelling which I think are important. Let's begin at the beginning and talk about characters. We all enjoy stories via the characters. We live the story through them, whether it's the hero or the villain or even the comedy sidekick. All of those characters have a very specific role to play and they have to do it with. Conviction. Otherwise, there's no point in being there. So love, honor, and cherish your characters, whether you're rewarding them is something or punishing them. And that brings me to point #2. Story plots and entry. You need to make sure that your story is engaging, that people want to turn the next page but they don't want to change channels, that they're going to stay up extra late after bedtime to just play one more level. Whatever the medium you're working in, you need to enthrall your audience and bring them along on the ride with you. And that brings us to Act 3, the finale. So you've created these characters, you have this wonderfully engaging story and you need to tie the whole thing off with a flourish to make it very satisfying. So whether you finish with a righteous explosion or a really small, self reflected moment, or if you're teeing up the next of your Hollywood blockbuster trilogy movies, whatever it is, you need to make sure that your characters have grown and have learned something. You need to make sure that all the questions that you brought up in your story have been answered and then hopefully with the entire package, anybody that finishes your story will go back to the beginning and want to go on the journey once again. And that, dear audience, is the end.

It was a pleasure working on this video (and right before vacation) for LockSmith and Inky Thinking. This team is always such a pleasure! This was a special challenge, as the goal was to capture Chris and Alex's actual voices since they were doing their own voiceover. Thrilled to have partnered with Alex O'Rourke (nee Smith) and Chris Lock at LockSmith to take their (already super but static) "creds deck" and transformed it into a fully moving animation. Great work Maddie Hennessy! What? You want to see more Baby Shark boards to final animation side by sides??!? Ok! In season 3 episode "What goes Up", written by Michelle McGee , Baby Shark finds a new friend in a red balloon he names Bob. This episode is an emotional roller coaster as he learns how to cope with losing someone he loves. And here is the final video with sfx. (use headphones) quite nice I think. A simple button click animation came it to my mind, and it turned out like this. And I found, rather than imagining an entire project in mind and complete it isn't possible every time, so I start with a small idea, then extend it a few times, it enhance my skill, increases practice. Kills laziness. #motiongraphics #3danimation #explainervideo #animatedads #advertiesment
