Here are some of the causes for this movement: 🌟 Diversity Representation: It's like having a diverse menu but serving the same dish at every table. 💼 Equity Concerns: It’s akin to everyone being invited to the party, but not everyone getting a fair share of the cake. 💬 Inclusive Practices: The road to true inclusion can sometimes feel like navigating rush hour traffic—slow and filled with obstacles. Currently, assessing the impact of this initiative is akin to navigating without GPS—uncertain whether we are on course or veering off course. Nevertheless, initiating action from our side at this juncture is a proactive step forward. It's time to rise up, prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion in every corner of our lives. From workplaces to cultural institutions, nonprofit organizations, and beyond, we must take action! "One of the biggest traps of oppressive systems is convenience. It is always easier, cheaper, faster, smoother to serve the system than not." These powerful words from Courtney Harge, CEO of OF/BY/FOR ALL, resonate deeply. It's true, maintaining the status quo is effortless, but it perpetuates inequality and limits progress. We have come such a long way. I will be the first to admit I am not perfect; I make mistakes and know my weaknesses. We usually don't post about awards. It hasn't, historically, been our style. Instead, our team celebrates amongst ourselves. We call the client to give them the good news. A statuette is carefully placed on a shelf in our office. However, today marks a special exception. We're excited to share that not one, but two of our projects have been nominated for the Anthem Awards, a festival recognizing mission-driven work. These projects share a common thread: they are solutions-focused and elevate the voices of individuals and organizations we deeply believe in. PURPOSE-DRIVEN JOURNEY... As I reflect on the past couple of weeks—engaging in conversations with clients, partners, colleagues, and organizations—I experienced a profound realization during my morning walk with my loyal companion, Sancho. Amidst the hustle, it dawned on me that I am surrounded by an incredible circle of purpose-driven individuals and organizations. They aren't merely chasing dollars; their focus lies in building and serving the communities and groups they deeply connect with. It's more than business; it's a commitment to making a meaningful impact. And let's take a moment to appreciate this: it's not just nonprofits doing incredible work; it's businesses and organizations actively solving real problems. Now, isn't that something to celebrate? Have you ever paused to consider the problems you are solving and the value you are adding? In my own journey, we initially believed we were creating meaningful connections through storytelling—and that's undeniably true. However, as the years unfolded, we discovered a deeper purpose. We are not just telling stories; we are elevating the voices of our Latinos and Latinas, actively reshaping the narrative. It's a journey filled with purpose, and I am grateful to be a part of it. 🚀✨

An organization, Girls First Finance (GFF), that I am passionate about and have done some work for needs our votes! I’ll explain what for below, but between now and December 21 you can vote by “Celebrating” them via the link attached to this post. This voting platform does require you to verify your vote via email to protect against voting fraud, and you may need to unsubscribe later if they add you to an email list. GFF supports young women directly all over the world to ensure they can access safe, affordable funding for their tuition, living expenses, or enterprise ideas. Millions of girls in all countries are exploited by bad actors in exchange for tuition fees, passing courses, and jobs. GFF’s mission combats this horrific exploitation and lifts girls up. Now, regarding what you’re voting for, GFF’s CEO Andrea Pizziconi authored an explosive report called ‘Connecting the Dots’. This report was recently recognized by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS) as a finalist for the Anthem Award under the category of Responsible Technology for Awareness and Media. IADAS’s mission is to recognize and acknowledge excellence on the Internet across emerging technologies. The Anthem Award has become the most prestigious social impact award in the world.
