#innovationinaction - The TRV-150 (Tactical Resupply Vehicle 150) technology is part of the Accelerating FORCE program, which CMI2 executes in partnership with U.S. Army DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory. The Accelerating FORCE program executes case studies to research how the Army can accelerate acquisition timelines and acquire technologies that can improve warfighter readiness and allow the Army to overmatch adversaries on the battlefield. A central pillar of the program is experimentation alongside Soldiers in realistic environments. In addition to the resupply efforts, the 101st Airborne Division completed during #CombinedResolve 24-01 at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center near Hohenfels, Germany, experimentation for the TRV-150 was also completed at CMI2's Adaptive Experimentation Facility during a Driving Innovation in Realistic (DIRT) Days event in April (https://lnkd.in/g_HQXvyH). #innovationinthedirt #acceleration #technology

Indian Army inducts NTGS ALAKRAN ___________________________________________ The Indian Army has inducted the NTGS ALAKRAN that were imported from Spain. This Light Mortar of 120mm caliber can launch 12 projectiles/minute up to a distance of more than 8.2 kms. It is a clever way to shoot 120mm mortar and move it quickly after the last round is fired. The mortar is lowered to the ground by a hydraulic system when the vehicle reaches the firing position. The mortar is then prepared to shoot. This system clearly enables a quicker and more efficient firing. The vehicle picks up the mortar and stores it inside when it is time to go. The main benefit over the conventional weapon is that the mortar system can be set up and packed up in just a few seconds. #army #spain #weapons #military

A Conversation with the AUKUS Army Chiefs on Land Power’s Contribution to AUKUS Pillar 2 Center for Strategic & International Studies 12 Mar 2024 The CSIS Australia Chair cordially invites you to A Conversation with the AUKUS Army Chiefs on Land Power's Contribution to AUKUS Pillar 2. AUKUS, first announced in September 2021, is a trilateral U.S.-UK-Australia defense partnership composed of two pillars: Pillar 1 provides support to Australia in acquiring conventionally armed, nuclear-powered submarines; and Pillar 2 focuses on expediting cooperation in critical technologies. To date, Pillar 1 has grabbed most of the headlines. However, Pillar 2 is increasingly seen as a vehicle to increase near-term capability acquisition and presents an opportunity for land power to accelerate technological integration between AUKUS countries.  Last year, the Australian, British, and U.S. army chiefs signed a statement of intent identifying capabilities of priority for cooperation. This effort is intended to contribute to the broader work under AUKUS Pillar 2. In this panel discussion moderated by Dr. Charles Edel, U.S. General Randy A. George, UK General Sir Patrick Sanders, and Australian Lieutenant General Simon Stuart will discuss AUKUS Pillar 2 from a land domain perspective and how the three armies can work together to enhance collaborative efforts in capability developments. 

Expanding the territorial army and emphasizing the importance of the Army Reserve can indeed be strategic moves for the Indian army. Utilizing the reserve forces effectively can enhance the army's flexibility, responsiveness, and overall operational capability. It allows the military to quickly mobilize additional forces during emergencies or conflicts, providing a valuable layer of defense and support. This approach aligns with modern warfare trends that require adaptability and readiness to address various threats and challenges and make AGNIVEER part of territorial Reserve .

“Sustainment is about warfighting, period.” Leaders from across AMC and the Army Sustainment Enterprise recently discussed guidance from the 41st Chief of Staff of the Army and identified focused initiatives and efforts that support warfighting. Efforts included transforming Army installations across services and infrastructure; advancing equipment modernization and readiness; rapidly redistributing excess and divesting of obsolete equipment; and preparing the Indo-Pacific theater.

BAE Systems has received a $797 million contract to continue production of the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) for the U.S. Army, with additional options for a potential total contract amount of $1.6 billion. If only there was more time We should do a better job of looking after our troops, but there isn't enough time. In the military we hear this constantly. Projects to develop leaders and soldiers are constantly put on the back burner for things that "need to get done yesterday". But exceptional leaders know the value of developing their people. At Life Skills for Soldiers we completed a pilot with arguably the highest OPTEMPO unit in the Army - an Infantry Battalion of the 101st Airborne Division. Despite an upcoming deployment, this unit was able to designate leaders to take and teach classes on Budgeting, the TSP and basic Investing. In turn, these classes yielded huge increases in Financial Readiness and projected individual net worth (results in comments). As a result of this investment, this Battalion of the 101st Airborne are building stronger leaders and more ready soldiers. If they can do it, why can't everyone?
