There are two upcoming #FPSO opportunities in Malaysia: 1. ConocoPhillips-operated Salam-Patawali oil development offshore Sarawak: This project requires a new FPSO with a production capacity of 30,000 to 55,000 barrels of oil per day and storage for up to 600,000 barrels of oil. 2. PTTEP-led replacement project on the Kikeh oilfield offshore Sabah: This project needs a replacement FPSO for the existing Kikeh field. Invitations to bid for these projects are expected to be issued soon. This is a good opportunity for suppliers of leased FPSOs. Here are some additional details that might find helpful: • Malaysian FPSO players are well-positioned to benefit from these opportunities, with companies like Bumi Armada, MISC, Yinson and MTC having a strong track record in the region. • The FPSO market in Southeast Asia remains buoyant, with several tenders expected for floating production, storage and offloading vessels. Overall, these projects represent a significant opportunity for companies in the FPSO sector.

#PetronasCarigali is advancing plans to appraise its 2023 Singsing 🎤🎶 discovery offshore #Sarawak, East Malaysia. Singsing 🎤🎶, which is located on Block SK 313 in the Western Luconia province in the Sarawak basin, was one of 19 exploration discoveries and two exploration-appraisal successes that last year contributed more than 1 billion barrels of oil equivalent combined of new resources for Malaysia. Petronas Carigali is scheduled to imminently commence a marine geohazards survey offshore Sarawak that will encompass the site of the intended Singsing-2 🎤🎶🎤 well together with locations of proposed wildcat wells and platform drilling. Other drilling targets to be surveyed include Manjakani-1, Silungen-1 (otherwise known as Gayong-1), Cemumar-1 (other wise known as Kumang East), Baronia North and D18 KP-A.

SLB and Velesto Drilling have signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance rig performance using SLB's digital solutions. The collaboration will deploy SLB's DrillOps Intelligent Well Delivery, Insights Solutions, and Drilling Emissions Management Solutions on Velesto's rigs. This will boost drilling efficiency and monitor emissions. Velesto recently completed a five-year special periodical survey (SPS) for one of its jack-up rigs, readying it for continued drilling operations with Petronas. Notably, SLB is also part of the Turnwell joint venture. That’s the end of our latest North Malay Basin D&C campaign now the Naga 5 rig has safely arrived in Singapore. This was a unique campaign as it was built around an IRDC (Integrated Rig Drilling Completion) model which meant that collaboration with trusted partners was critical to success. Working in this way is not the easy approach, I can say that as someone trained in the “old” way it takes effort to change deep set paradigms however in this case we simply had to work together to achieve our common goals. Its been an incredible journey and there have of course been bumps in the road, particularly at the start, however after +700 days, 15 wells across 4 platforms, +190,000ft drilled and ultimately consistent top quartile D&C performance and an exceptional EHS record I truly believe our performance was better than we could have achieved in a conventional discrete contract model. Along the way multiple NMB records were broken including the longest ERD well drilled in the North Malay Basin It goes to show what can be achieved when you put a group of individuals together who are not afraid to embrace change and who are supported by strong leaders. The industry is changing and as operators we have to work more closely with our service partners to plan and execute ever more challenging wells.
