3 Questions & 3 answers with Ing. Diego Marinelli, Custom Project & After Sales Director at ISA PALUMBO SHIPYARD on the current sewage system refit on M/Y "ISA LOVE". HAMANN AG: Mr. Marinelli, M/Y ISA LOVE (ex CLORINDA) was built in 2017 by ISA Yachts in Ancona. As part of the current refit, the sewage treatment plant originally installed on this vessel was replaced by a brand new HAMANN HL-CONT Compact 0125. We are super excited to have been chosen as the supplier for the new sewage treatment plant. Since the original system was only 7 years old, what were the reasons for the decision to replace it? Diego Marinelli: There was a system from one of your direct competitors installed on board but the state of wear and poor performance forced us to make an exchange solution with your product which in our opinion is one of the best currently on the market HAMANN AG: In your experience, what is the biggest challenge for the shipyard when it comes to refitting the sewage system in projects like MY ISA LOVE? Diego Marinelli: We find the benefits in the fact that you have products of modest dimensions, which can be easily assembled on site, clarity of the wiring diagrams and systems plant association. Moreover the fact that we can give our customers reliability in the solutions. With you and your distributor in Italy NAVALTECNICA SRL we feel supported in some way in the choices and technical definitions. The always positive results and feedback from our customers reassure us about our choices. HAMANN AG: How long did it take from the decision to replace the plant to commissioning the new HAMANN system on board MY ISA LOVE? Diego Marinelli: I refer to the answer above, since your documentation and the support of your dealer are impeccable we managed to configure the entire system before the arrival of the machinery. The system was installed in just a few days and commissioning was carried out one shot, on first start-up. I would say that with this system just three weeks passed from the moment of order confirmation, arrival of materials, assembly and final commissioning. We are proud of this synergistic collaboration. Mr. Marinelli, thank you for taking the time for our questions!

Are road construction and sales really so different? It is not usual to compare these two, but both fields share similar features, strategies, or processes, depending on the angle we look at them. Let’s dig deeper into what sales and construction have in common: Planning and strategy are the keys to success. In road construction, planning details, marking the terrain, selecting the right materials and machines, and planning the best route. Same in sales, plan to understand the market, identify the target audiences, and reach them effectively and fast. The implementation cycle or execution stage, in both industries has clear steps to follow to achieve a goal. Examples of the construction would be preparation, foundation laying, paving, compaction, and finishing. In sales, it goes as follows; prospecting, engaging, presenting, closing, and after-sales service. Each phase is directly connected to the previous one usually with deadlines along the stages, e.g. for salespeople's sales quotas. follow-ups. It is worth mentioning the similarities across industries when it comes to collaboration and teamwork. Road construction needs workers, machine operators, engineers, and project managers to follow and execute the plan. The teamwork between marketing, customer support, sales reps, and management is achieving results in sales.
