Hello LinkedIn Family, am excited to share my journey on mainstreaming Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) in Quality Management Systems (QMS), Quality Assurance, and Quality Control interventions in public health! Having served in the M&E Space for over 7 years at a leading research institute tackling infectious diseases, I've learned valuable insights on maximizing opportunities to integrate M&E practices into our operations. Key strategies I've employed include: 1. Collaboration is Key: Working closely with QMS, QA, and QC teams to align M&E frameworks with existing processes, ensuring seamless integration. 2. Data-Driven Decision Making: Leveraging M&E data to drive evidence-based decisions, enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of public health interventions. I know from experience this may be challenging because some staff would rather use experience than the data presented. It’s our role in M&E to ensure that data integrity is enhanced to boost confidence in what’s presented to stakeholders for informed decision making. 3. Continuous Improvement: Implementing a culture of continuous improvement by regularly assessing and adapting M&E methodologies to meet evolving needs and challenges. By bridging the gap between M&E and quality management, we've not only enhanced the impact of our interventions but also fostered a culture of accountability and transparency. Together, we're shaping a healthier future for our communities!
