British Society for Gene and Cell Therapy (BSGCT)’s Post

BSGCT are proud to announce our inaugural "Outstanding Achievement" and "Services to the Society" award winners. Congratulations to Prof adrian thrasher of UCL Institute for Child Health Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust, who is our inaugural "outstanding Achievement" award. His work "put the UK at the forefront of clinical translation of gene therapy" and has proven curative and life saving in many children with primary immunodeficiencies. Prof Thrasher will collect his award and delivery his keynote lecture at BSGCT 2025 in London. Also congratulations to Prof Simon Waddington of UCL, who is our inaugural "Services to the Society" award, for "his dedication to the society's outreach and engagement goals and efforts in training and promoting the careers of early career researchers, and supporting them all the way to senior posts". Congratulations both - two hugely worthy winners! We look forward to seeing you all in Oxford!
