Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Grapevine’s Called to Love diversity council hosted a heartfelt service this past week. Keynote speaker Gloria Gay, RN, an inspiration with 51 years of nursing experience, delivered a powerful message reflecting on the past, present, and future. She emphasized the importance of striving for a community where diversity, equity, and inclusion are one language and highlighted the need for collective effort to make a difference.
"I love nursing,” Gay said. “I am passionate about taking care of people. I have devoted 51 years of my life to this profession with no regrets. I am determined to leave it better than when I started, but I cannot do that by myself. It takes all of us to tackle the issues we face. We must all see the value of diversity, equality, inclusion, and belonging."
