Tonight I caught up with the SJA property community and we were discussing how you can go about scaling to 10 properties in your buy to let portfolio depending on: 1. Your financial situation 2. Your ability to go out and find deals 3. How strict you are with your investment criteria Some good insight into how setting the bar high for yourself in terms of investment criteria can be good, but it can also slow your growth as deals become harder and harder to find. Depending on your lifestyle, you might not want to spend your time looking for deal and leveraging the skills and experience of a deal sourcing could be what propels you towards those 10 properties. We also touched on how lenders tend to operate in the Aberdeen property market and the steps we can take as deal sourcers and investors to protect ourselves and our clients from risk.
