A recent analysis by NovaSpace (formerly Euroconsult) highlights a steep increase in global investment in space defense and security. Led by the United States, expenditures exceeded $58 billion and governments launched more than 107 defense and dual-use satellites in 2023. The launch rate for defense and dual-use satellites is projected to rise by 160% over the next decade, increasing geopolitical tensions and the military reliance on space-based capabilities.
