Safety Spotlight - Billings, MT Crusher Crew 🦺📢🚨
"This crew works very well together and takes safety and MSHA compliance very seriously, as it should be. They have received two "Zero Citation" inspections so far in 2024. MSHA just awarded a "Certificate of Achievement in Safety" to this crew for working 25,176 hours in 2022 with no "Lost Time" injuries. Supervisor Steve Waller and the Billings Crusher crew deserves to be recognized for their solid safety habits, attention to detail and MSHA compliance. I am glad they are here at Croell, Inc."

Why should safety be important to your crew?
So you can go home the same way you showed up and be with your family. I like working with this crew and I do not want to see any of them hurt. Keeping everyone injury free and safe is also good business. Injuries not only hurt people and possibly remove them from our crew, but our production falls because our trained team member isn't here with us at work.
What do you and your team do to promote safety and ensure a safe work environment?
We work together and communicate, not only operationally, but also potential hazards. If you see something, say something. Even if you see a light burnt out on a truck or piece of equipment, let everyone know. We do quality weekly safety meetings. Be aware of your surrounding at all times. Watch out for each other. You are your brother's keeper.
What measures does your Crew/Plant take to improve safety?
Let people know where you are going and what you are doing. Take help if you need help with a task. Constantly know your surrounding/situational awareness and remind everyone to be "in the moment." If you think someone is struggling, go help them. Make everyone aware that we are all here to work together, we are a team! Wear your PPE, it is there for a reason. Again, watch out for each other!
