Our heritage is deeply rooted in the North, as is our dedication to the preservation of the Arctic. This is a shared value with actor and activist, Ethan Hawke, the face of the Fall / Winter 2024 Snow Goose by Canada Goose campaign. Ethan has generously donated to Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami (ITK),which works to improve the health and wellbeing of Inuit in Canada through research, advocacy, public outreach and education. 2023 was another difficult year for the nonprofit sector. From inflation to the lingering impacts of COVID-19, these challenges have put a strain on many organizations through increased demand for services. Despite these difficulties, the year was an opportunity for the sector to leverage its collective strength, build on our renewed collective energy from 2022, and come together to build momentum. We invite you to read our recently released Annual Report to learn more about how Imagine Canada supported the sector through our advocacy efforts, research, capacity-building resources, and services in 2023. https://buff.ly/4aUWgHC

Partners | Strengthening grassroots ministries in Turkey Recently, we had the privilege of spending time in Turkey, coming alongside four grassroots ministries to support them with financial management and stewardship training. In a country where Christians make up less than 100,000 of the 84 million population, these ministries face unique challenges in serving their communities. Often led by just one person or a small team, they rarely have access to the resources and training needed to grow into sustainable organisations. Says Mergon’s Etienne Piek, ‘Turkey holds an important place in our faith—it's where believers were first called Christians (Acts 11:19-30)—and yet, the resources available to support faith-based nonprofits are scarce. Together with the Nadace 3WFoundation, we’re piloting a project to support these ministries in building a foundation for long-term sustainability and impact. Our hope is that, as they grow stronger, funders will see their heart and potential, joining with them to bring about greater change.’
