𝗔 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀: 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗷𝗼𝗯𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 Renewable energy jobs have almost doubled in 10 years to 13.7m jobs. Solar energy remains the fastest-growing sector in renewable energy jobs. It had almost 4.9 million jobs in 2022, more than a third of the renewable energy sector’s total workforce. On gender balance, solar power employs more women than other renewable sectors, at 40% of full-time positions. This is almost double of women’s employment in wind energy (21% of full-time positions) and the oil and gas sector (22% of full-time positions). To reach net-zero emissions by 2050, the world will need to create 14 million new clean energy jobs by 2030. Canopy Power is confirming this trend with 25% human resources growth in the last few months and plans to continue with this trend while adding new renewable projects to its portfolio.
