By speaking and interacting with my LGBT+ colleagues at Capgemini, I've realized that there's so much more to Pride than just rainbow flags and Pride parades. 💖 For some, Pride is about being able to live their truth every day without fear – in both, their daily lives as well as at the workplace. 💖 For others, it might be more of an internal personal journey from self-awareness or self-discovery to self-acceptance. 💖 There are also those who wish to live their authentic lives but they see no need to announce it to others. Pride Month is about understanding that all these expressions of queerness are valid, and that there is progress to be found and achieved in each of them. This year, Capgemini is kickstarting its Pride celebrations in the month of May – because why not? Celebrating queerness or allyship to the LGBT+ community cannot (and should not) be restricted to just one month in the entire year.
