Delayed Direct Deposit - Submit CFPB & OCC Complaints Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (https://www.consumerfinance.gov/). Look for “Submit a Complaint” in the upper right-hand corner of the site. It only takes about 10 minutes to submit. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (800) 613-6743. They are responsible for the regulation of certain banks and they directly monitor Capital One - You can file a complaint here: https://www.helpwithmybank.gov/file-a-complaint/index-file-a-complaint.html.

Hopefully, there will be more customer service support for customers who have encountered issues due to the inefficiencies associated with Capital One's internal processes. It's probably not the best place to file a complaint, but hopefully, I will get someone's attention. It seems that there is a bottleneck in the fraud department where one person can hold up an entire process. My check was flagged, in error, as potential fraud. After the Customer Protection Team verified with the Bank that the check was valid, I was told that someone from fraud investigations who initially flagged the check would get back to me sometime this week because they can't process fraud issues in real-time. Just seems odd to me. The check was held for 7 days, which should have been verified then. It was subsequently processed and added to my account, only to be flagged as potential fraud. Even after confirming it was not fraud, I still have to wait 7 days to reaccess my money. So yes, I am pretty annoyed and disturbed that the fraud investigation department is so antiquated that it has a single point of failure, being this one person who initially flagged the check erroneously. 😤 😡
