We were really pleased with the large turnout and the positive engagement from farmers and panellists at our Slurry Solutions event in Rosscarbery this week. Opening the event Enda Buckley said "We know that there is a will to do the right thing when it comes to water quality and managing slurry, and our farmer shareholders are looking for guidance on how best to do this. We wanted to bring this event together to connect farmers with the companies who can offer solutions, the institutions who can finance them, and the experts who can advise on the best way to achieve improvements." Thanks to everyone who attended and especially to our panelists Ted Massey from the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, William Burchill UCC and Pat Tuohy of Teagasc and our facilitator Don Crowley of Teagasc Cork West. Our Essentials courses offer more than hands-on lessons in regenerative principles. In three days or less, you can build a network of peers working towards the same goals – improving their land, livestock and operation's profitability. “Knowing people is beneficial all the time. You know, being able to help somebody who's just getting into it and is as excited as I am about doing it," said Luis Hernandez, livestock manager for 3J Farms OK in Blanchard, Oklahoma. "It refreshes me and excites me even more to know that I'm doing the right thing for my place and being able to help other people and just bounce new ideas off of each other. Fresh minds always have fresh ideas." Find a course today: https://lnkd.in/gDvnEb7Y

Where does your food come from? The grocery store. The refrigerator. A restaurant. All are “correct” answers, but how does our food get there? The Food + Farm Exploration Center is here to teach everyone just how our food does make its way to us. Younger learners can learn about agriculture through play! All ages can explore the intersection of farming and food, the people who make it happen, and the processes that take it from field to fork through interactive exhibits. Buy your tickets at the exploration center or in advanced at https://lnkd.in/gaZCvt7i
