September is #SuicidePreventionMonth, a time to promote understanding about the importance of mental health, raise awareness about available resources and support systems, and encourage confident, compassionate action in bringing hope and healing to those at risk of suicide. Suicide is a complex problem with no single cause and no single solution, but we can all play a role in effective suicide prevention efforts. At A-G Associates, we’re proud to bring together subject matter experts, those with lived experience, behavioral health specialists, sociologists, psychologists, data scientists, thought leaders, researchers, and public health leaders to meet the full demand of the mission to directly address the problem of suicide. Follow along as we share support resources, educational content, trainings, tools, personal stories, and more throughout the month of September. Together, we can save lives. #SuicidePrevention #Awareness #Hope #TeamAG #MentalHealthMatters #MentalHealth #BehavioralHealth #PublicHealth #VeteranSuicidePrevention #EmbraceChange #FocusOnImpact #LivedExperience

For community members reaching out for help during a behavioral health crisis, it might be easy to feel alone with their symptoms or their circumstances. Peers, trained behavioral health experts who also have firsthand experience with mental health or substance use recovery, are critical to helping community members feel supported and understood. We're so grateful to see that pathways to becoming a peer are becoming more inclusive!
