“It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it” One of Warren Buffett’s more famous quotes and with the speed of information today, it’s never been more relevant. Take the aviation industry for instance. Anxiety around flying seems to be increasing yet, surprisingly, flying has never been safer. You are statistically more likely to have an accident driving to the airport than 40,000 feet in the air. For every video of something terrible happening, there are a million more of passengers clapping safely as they land. A company’s reputation is one of its most valuable assets, which is why reputation management is crucial across all industries, not just aviation. At CARMA, we understand the complexities PR and Communication leaders face in managing it. That’s why we’ve created Reputation by CARMA – a holistic view of reputation performance across six core pillars through the lens of traditional media, social media and audience opinion. It’s built specifically for PR & Comms teams. To demonstrate its effectiveness, we’ve launched our latest research into the reputations of some of the world’s biggest airlines including British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Emirates and Singapore Airlines. Download the report now and take a look at how they stack up: https://bit.ly/3XDK7C2

After a 6-year gap (because of the pandemic) we were in Shanghai for the air cargo China and transport logistic China exhibition and conference last week. Three hectic days of meeting, conferences and networking in formal and informal settings. The highlight for me and for STAT Media Group was the conference that we created and delivered for the air cargo segment of the three-day event. We invited Mark Drusch of Qatar Airways Cargo to deliver the keynote on the first day and the topic was "The air cargo industry must modernize". Mark elaborated the subject well through nine reasons why this must be done and it must be done now. Such a privilege to have Mark doing the keynote (almost a first for him at such a big international air cargo gathering after he took charge in January this year). Here's the recording of the keynote. Sorry about the poor audio as the conference was within an open area of the exhibition hall. https://lnkd.in/gjEGRTcH STAT Times Indian Transport Logistics News Logistics Update Africa Priyo Patra Libin Chacko Kurian Renju Raju Sukhadaa Dhopeshwarkar Parijat Sourabh/Jha Jyothi Shankaran Nehal Gautam Abhinav Jadhav Qatar Airways Carolyn Monchouguy Elaine D'silva Minesh Kp Lemon Queen Arbind Patel #aircargo #aviation #freighters #digitalisation #logistics #globaltrade #technology #cargo #freight #planes

The stage is set for a dynamic comeback as Air Cargo China returns to the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from June 25 to 27, 2024. After a six-year hiatus due to the global pandemic, STAT Media Group is gearing up for the event with conference programmes packed with high-calibre speakers and thought-provoking discussions. The conference kicks off with a much-anticipated keynote address by Mark Drusch, the newly appointed Chief Officer Cargo at Qatar Airways, the world's largest cargo carrier. His keynote, titled 'The air cargo industry must modernise,' in which Drusch will delve into critical questions such as: Why does air cargo lag behind the passenger aviation business in terms of modernisation and digitisation? With the proliferation of digital commerce, how can the air cargo industry bring speed and visibility across the value chain? He will explore what can be learned from the passenger aviation business and how air cargo stakeholders can implement these lessons to become more efficient. If not now, when? I am beyond excited to share our global airlines reputation report, which showcases our Reputation by CARMA methodology - a new, holistic approach to reputation measurement and analysis which is designed specifically for PR and Comms professionals. It traces the audience journey to measure reputational pillars across traditional media, social conversation and audience research, to provide actionable insights into what has impact, and what doesn't. Some highlights from our airlines report include: ✈ Singapore Airlines gave us a masterclass in handling a crisis and in making business performance relevant and engaging to a general consumer audience ✈ Cathay Pacific was less successful in navigating organisational challenges, but impact on audience opinion was not as strong as might have been expected ✈ Emirates' global successes and home-grown loyalty ✈ Malaysia Airlines' reputation still suffering from the loss of MH370 Download the report for more details and insights! 👇 https://lnkd.in/eXzNY7ae #reputation #publicrelations #communications #airlines #aviation #PRmeasurement #measurePR
