So counterintuitive, right? What do you think about it? 🤔 A gyroscope stays upright when spinning thanks to the conservation of angular momentum, which depends on its rotation speed, mass, and shape. This momentum makes the gyroscope resist changes in its orientation. When a force tries to tip it, the gyroscope experiences gyroscopic precession, meaning it moves perpendicularly to the force and stays upright. This unique stability is why gyroscopes are essential for ship and aircraft navigation.
