🌟40 Climate Tech Start-ups Selected for the CATAL1.5°T Pre-Acceleration Programme! 🌍🚀 We are excited to share that 40 promising start-ups from #Benin, #BurkinaFaso, #Côted’Ivoire, #Guinea, #Mauritania, #Niger, #Senegal, and #Togo have been selected to join the CATAL1.5°T West Africa pre-accelerator! These start-ups, at various stages of growth and working across sectors like energy access, forestry, sustainable buildings, and low-emission transport, will be supported by four Entrepreneurship Support Organisations (ESOs): Hadina RIMTIC Incubator , Bond'innov, Burkina Business Incubator, and TOogueda. Through the programme, they’ll gain access to resources, expertise, and networks, with ESOs providing guidance on how to scale their climate ventures. 📢 Oceanloop Secures €35 Million Investment from the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Opens New Opportunity for Equity Investors I’m thrilled to announce that Oceanloop has secured €35 million in venture debt from the European Investment Bank (EIB), backed by the InvestEU program for climate-tech start-ups. This incredible support enables us to expand our sustainable aquaculture technology, scaling up our operations in Germany and launching a new large-scale farming facility in Spain.   While the demand for sustainably produced animal proteins will increase significantly in the coming years, their sources are particularly at risk today. Decades of overfishing and an unsustainable aquaculture industry that cannot be controlled in times of climate change are leading to an increasing risk of supply chain disruptions to Europe. We are thrilled that the EU has recognized this and is helping us to bring our innovative technology to industrial-scale commercialization.   “The European Investment Bank supports European tech pioneers with European ambitions that push forward innovative solutions.
