Yes, Oliver Evans developed the first automatic flour mill using a leather belt bucket elevator, screw, and belt conveyors. ⚫️ In 1923, Lowell Girls, a group of women employed by Boston Associates, set an example for other women as their experience was beneficial in breaking away from the patriarchal family farm. ⚫️ In 1913, Ford Motors installed the first moving assembly line, while in 1930, Toyota began using a Lean Manufacturing model by using automation. ⚫️ 1979 was a peak year in employment in American Manufacturing as it saw 22% of total nonfarm work. ⚫️ 2002 was a pivotal year for Smart Manufacturing in the U.S. as The U.S. Manufacturing Enterprise Integration Act of 2002 was enacted to develop its foundations.
