When and how did theatres adopt technology? You can find a written overview of technological theatre from the past to the present in the report "From past to present: the journey of technological theatre", written within the framework of the ACuTe-project.
The report outlines the historical and theoretical background needed to develop the objectives of the ACuTe-project. The report places current developments in historical context and discusses the earlier artistic, technological and cultural antecedents of virtual reality, inclusion, and the use of remote technologies. The report states that digitalization is no longer a new phenomenon and that it intersects with traditional practices and materials, which is reflected in post-digital developments.

Are you looking at Linked In differently since last weekend?
Are you looking at everything a little more fearsomely as the drama builds in the US and around the world?
Are you nicely, instead, continuing to just get on where you are, in your flow?
You're on to something if you're in creative flow state, but in politically troubling times, with social trends continuing to spice up like the climate numbers you're also trying to ignore, I suggest it takes a certain kind of expressive consciousness to choose making stuff over letting stuff be plundered. But how to find the courage? Or know where to start.
In my latest Expo I share some thoughts around the informal recording of my interview for Pier Journal's summer edition with the energising Nicola Cartlidge from AUB, Venues & Events manager now holding the keys to the Palace Court Theatre. And you'll hear, as she walks me around the building, it's a lesson in how to hold space together for working up cultural resilience.
If you want futures to be excited about more than scared of, this is example of how we do it.
Hope over to Substack now to read and listen – this week's Unsee The Future expo:
"Fearful times need bold creativity – and holding space together for what that means from each of us."

On June 26th, Reset! network will be having its last talk in Brussels before we go on hiatus for the summer.
Another touchy topic : concentration in the cultural sector.
To make it short, when you go to a couple of concerts or mega festivals this summer, the chances that the same companies own these events are pretty high. Why? Because, only a handful companies own the major festivals in Europe and in the world : https://lnkd.in/eUM8QE_7
Why does it matter? It's a free market, right? Well, we'll learn about the economic implication of this concentration and what the future holds for artists, festival-goers and independent festivals.
We'll talk about what can be done to avoid such concentration. That's what we try to do at Reset! network. Come and listen to the panel, there's also going to be a Q/A session and drinks.
See you there!

Exhibitions might be a significant part of what your gallery offers clients and artists. When developing our gallery's exhibition goals, ask yourself these questions.
Would reducing the exhibition schedule by a few shows help save on operating costs and enable you to expand your narrative around each show?
If shows ran longer, could you create new programs and experiences for your audience to engage with the art and artist?
Should you show art in new locations, either locally or regionally, via pop-ups and partnerships?
Your answers may guide you to create a fresh perspective on your exhibition goals next year.
Need help designing your gallery's plan for the new year? Let's schedule a call to see if I might be able to help you. See the link in the bio to learn more.
