CDA's Top Moments of 2024 | Ocean Point 2 | Planning consented CDA is spending December reflecting on 2024 and highlighting some of our top moments from the year! In May we were delighted our project at Ocean Point 2 Edinburgh gained planning consent. The mixed-use scheme produced for S Harrison Development Ltd. consists of two independent buildings: a 112 bed BTR block comprising a mix of studio, one-bed, two-bed and three-bed apartments and a separate 404 bed PBSA block comprising a mix of studio and cluster accommodation. Mixed-use commercial co-working amenity spaces will be provided for both buildings along with extensive high-quality private and public landscaping. OP2 helps complete the ongoing transformation of Leith’s waterfront through the delivery of a vibrant and sustainable neighbourhood. New routes through the site will link the recently extended Edinburgh Tramline to a new waterfront promenade. Careful consideration was given to daylighting and microclimate requirements whilst maintaining the privacy of both residents within the new buildings and surrounding developments. The buildings complement each other through their vertical language, scale and form, reading as part of a whole for the site but are identified separately through contrasting materiality.
