And we have one such company that is joining in with us Sciences Tech. We have Kaushik Khona, who's the Managing Director at the company, joining in with us of India Operations. Thank you so much, Sir, for joining in with us this afternoon on ET. Now, you know, firstly, let's just start, you know, let's just start by talking about what is it that you see this impact or you know, the synergies that you see coming in of the announcement that came in on GIS mapping for the industry as well as the company. Well, I think the honourable Prime Minister, finance Minister has given a excellent announcements in the budget which they which she announced on 23rd of July. One of the major focus of this budget was geospatial activities including Geo mapping of urban lands, rural lens and also talking about Boo Aadhar which is going to be a game changer for the reforms for the land and going forward we also see a lot of. Potential into the land survey, the mapping of them into the current Land Registry and even for urban lands also there is a linking of land records to by digitizing the GIS mapping and digitization of the cadastral maps are also part of the announcements, which I think are the core areas of sciences tech and we are quite eager to see the things. To the business proposals going forward. Mr. Connor, I've been looking at here some of the releases you recently backed in order author Pradesh as well with Water and Sanitation Department. The overall prospects also look quite strong. Talk to me about what the order book is right now and what lies in the pipeline. Well, one more announcement which I think the honorable Finance Minister made was in relation to the water management and we have one of the major presence in water as you rightly said that we have a good presence in their Pradesh as well as some announcements which we recently made. We have a total order book when we started this financial year of around 700 probe which is also part of our investor presentations on the website out of this 700 Pro more than. Android is towards the bottom management and geospatial part and we are very eager to see that the new opportunities which are coming into this through this budget. I think we should have a lot of opportunities to go into various other states including the existing presence which we have in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. Water management including promoter water supply through Jagjivan Mission as well as through AMRUT scheme is going to be. Again, a lot of focus area for us because that is where we provide the end to end our software solutions to the different states for enabling the better water management. So you know what I also wanna know, Yes, you spoke about two states, Akhtar Pradesh, Maharashtra and you said, you know, you maybe will make inroads into other states as well. Any such states that you are in talks with, any companies that you are in talks with now on this front as well? Uh, well, we are developing a lot of potential onto this. We have got this announcements and we already have presence in Chattisgarh, Jharkhand and Rajasthan. These are the states where we can start tapping in addition to penetrating further into Maharashtra as well as the Pradesh. While we also see that even the lot of budget allocation has been made towards this. I see that as per the numbers of the outcome budget which is presented more than one lakh 13. 1000 crores is out is earmarked by the honorable finance minister in respect of the areas where science is has his presence including water management and geospatial while we also look into. Think of contributing into the smart city development where we have our own presence on Urban Development, into the urban planning, water management as well as into the energy management. We also provide a lot of support on E governance to various states, including Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra. And I think with the kind of focus and announcement, we sure feel that we will penetrate further into these states as well as we'll try to kind of go into other states as well. No, I was just going through your details. As well, in terms of numbers, from a revenue profile of 185 crores in FY21, you've come to almost 250 crores and margins also have improved materially from 8% to 17%. What about the next two to three years? Could the revenues be, let's say 500 crores in a matter of a couple of years? And where does the margin go from here on? Is there operating lever for you to take it above 20%? Well, first of all, I think there is a constraint for me to talk about guidance about any margins going forward. But yes, I think broadly we can say that and I have also research which is made towards the world potential more so on to the India potential of these areas. And we see that the growth would be in the range of around twenty 2530% while we have grown last year from 20 to 23 to 2324 by around 2425%. And we expect with the kind of push and the kind of employee strength and the potential which we have building up, I think we can see similar growth in future. I would not be able to tell you what number in next 2-3 years, but I think it's an extrapolation of the opportunities which we are actually trying to fructify and kind of implement. So margins, obviously, we are quite skeptical about ensuring that we go with the high margin. Business, it will be as I said, not fair on me to say that whether I will be 22% and more or or what. No, we totally appreciate that. Thank you Mr. Corner for making time and speaking with us. So the growth is something which looks strong in terms of opportunity, 20 to 30% could be the growth rate, but margins we'll have to look forward to. Congratulations to the ARPA-E team for putting together a great Summit this week. It has been amazing to watch the event grow from the "poster session days", with a few hundred attendees, in the early 2010s, to this large 2024 gathering, in the thousands, in Texas, the US Energy Capital.
Here are some of my thoughts after attending this year's event.
- Now that I am back in the private sector, as an investor, I really valued the ability to network through dedicated events for the investor community. APINE and Demo Day were certainly highlights, so kudos to the team, and more of that please!
- The Technology Showcase has always been a highlight and this year was no different. As the portfolio continues to expand, it might be beneficial for the team to consider more thematic, regional showcases. Three days is not enough time to explore all the novel technologies being incubated by the agency, especially when combined with other opportunities to network, main stage sessions etc.
I will end with a final reflection on what will be necessary going forward to bring these promising technologies to the finish line. The valley of death for pilots and first of a kind (FOAK) facilities is very real. This is when the check sizes get to a few hundred million or even a billion and relying on continued government funding is non-sustainable. The energy transition will require long term, private sector financial commitments and human capital development. The existing industrial base in this country has a huge role to play in this transition, if the mindset is right. Sacrificing short term profitability metrics, accepting low (or negative IRR projects) and rebuilding decimated "cost centers -> your R&D/engineering base" is how you will get there. I see some recognition that this needs to happen, but it is high time that the recognition turns into action. It also probably means that capital flow may have to move from the services sector into traditional, light and heavy industrial sectors over the coming decades. Time to reward the industries doing the hard things, even if profitability takes a hit in the short term.
Hope everyone has a relaxing and reflective memorial day weekend!
Just had a quick summary on what Subtask B - #Storage_Integrity under IEA Hydrogen TCP Task 42 #Underground_Hydrogen_Storage has done. Thanks everyone who contributed for the past almost 3 years.
Looking back, with increasing number of research projects, pilot and demonstration projects on #Underground_Hydrogen_Storage globally for the past 3 years, I really feel that this community has done fantastic work from building new connections and networks, to faciliating research collaborations and pilot/demenstration projects in different regions. This initiative together with the community has definitely improved a certain #Level_of_Confidence through #Technology_Readiness_Level and #Societal_Embedeness_Level improvements.
Thanks Serge van Gessel and Hadi Hajibeygi for the excellent work, and every subtask leads/co-leads, core groups, and all participants who contributed in different ways. Thanks Dries Hegen for consistently supporting from behind the scenes. 😄
Enjoy the workshop/discussions everyone in the room, and looking forward to seeing exicting #UHS_Enabled_Hydrogen_Value_Developments for the coming years. 👍
#HYNET has kicked off!
With my colleague István Vokony we represented Budapest University of Technology and Economics on the first meeting of the HYNET project.
The future electricity #network envisioned by HYNET will be characterized by a growing role of #multiterminal, multivendor #DC-based solutions within the current AC T&D networks both onshore and offshore. In the next three years HYNET will contribute to this synergistic process by enabling commonly agreed definitions of interoperable modelling tools, model sharing platforms and clear processes for ensuring interoperability, via the HYNET workbench.

I'm thrilled to announce our acquisition of South Coast Science's core technology. This is a landmark moment for UK cleantech and EMSOL - Air Quality Action
EMSOL has made great strides over the years to deliver impact, but to ensure good data, you need good monitoring and sensor technology that is low-cost but, importantly, accurate. What is the point of taking action when the data is too broad and not consistently accurate throughout the day and seasons of the year.
That's exactly what South Coast Science comes in with —award-winning high-precision air quality data, trusted by the UN.
As of today, EMSOL is not just serving customers across the UK, but from Alaska to Africa. This acquisition opens the door to EMSOL’s global presence, and we will grow to drive our mission of emission reductions.
This isn't just a win for EMSOL - it's a huge step for British environmental tech on the global stage. We're creating an end-to-end, 'Made in Britain' solution that will set new standards in air quality management.
I want to thank the two founders, Bruno Beloff & Jamie Campbell - some of the best of Britain's engineering brains to have built South Coast Science from scratch and built one of the world's beautifully and robustly engineered air quality monitoring tools. We honour you and will take on this amazing achievement to the next phase of growth with more innovation, deeper insights, and, ultimately, cleaner air for all.
