Ever noticed a sudden surge in current when you first power up a transformer in low voltage (LV) generation systems? That's called transformer inrush. When you energise a transformer, its core magnetises quickly, causing an inrush current that's way higher than the normal operating current. This can lead to: ⚡Voltage dips and flickering across the network. ⚡Tripping of protective devices, leading to unnecessary outages. ⚡Mechanical stress on the transformer and connected equipment.
