#InternationalWomensDay is about championing and celebrating women around the world and the causes that matter to them. Women’s #MentalHealth often flies under the radar, especially for expecting mothers. As a country, we need to recognize these challenges and work to address them holistically. This starts with access to therapy, and more specifically #FamilyTherapy that takes into account gender roles and societal expectations on young mothers. #IWD #WomensHistoryMonth https://cnn.it/4a0ZjOz

What does Our Bodies Ourselves mean to you? Our team has been reflecting on the connections between earlier versions of OBOS, and Our Bodies Ourselves Today. For Vic, OBOS has served a role in bringing to the forefront topics and conversations such as abortion and menstruation that were previously taboo: Society often sidelines women because it considers femininity to be inferior to masculinity. But Our Bodies Ourselves has provided an important platform to validate women. It has also addressed topics that challenge traditional perceptions of femininity. Historically, men have been seen as the advocates and leaders, Our Bodies Ourselves shows how women advocate and lead all the time; they do it well and most times, better. #tbt #ThrowbackThursday #OurBodiesOurselves #OBOSReflections
