Did you know....🤔 As we celebrate 20 YEARS, let's dive into 20 paw-sitively fun facts about Central Bark! 👇 🐾 Central Bark Co-founder Chris Gaba found Jackie Jordan in the September 22, 2002 issue of Newsweek Magazine. 🐾 Co-founders Chris Gaba and Jackie Jordan were featured in the Wall Street Journal in 2004 shortly after they started to Franchise. 🐾 At the beginning when determining the name, the first choice was Bark Avenue. It already had an application in process for Trademark, so they decided on their second choice: Central Bark. 🐾 At one time co-founder Jackie Jordan owned and operated a Summer Dog Camp in Wisconsin. 🐾 In the beginning our co-founders did a lot of work with Sister Pauline Quinn, who started one of the first prison puppy programs in the United States. 🐾 The 3 toed paw was designed by Art Haus Marketing in Milwuakee, WI. 🐾 Our core brand values are Passion, Compassion, Respect, and Integrity. 🐾 Current Central Bark Project & Program Manager, Laura Tuttle, started as a client and her dog, Tucker, peed on Jackie Jordan when he was a puppy. Laura then became a dog groomer and has been with Central Bark ever since. 🐾 Co-founder Jackie Jordan’s dad used to hand paint outdoor advertising boards and he was the artist that designed our first logo. 🐾 The very first Central Bark mascot featured was a cartoon dog named Barkley. 🐾 We use 5 different colors to represent our 5 different services: Purple (Boarding), Yellow (Enrichment Day Care), Magenta (Grooming), Blue (Training/Safety) and Green (Dog Health/Products). 🐾 Our customer longevity is on average over 4 years and one of our Central Bark customers has been a client for 19 years! 🐾 Central Bark provides community education through our Central Bark Bite Prevention School Program. 🐾 Central Bark was ranked in Franchise Business Reviews’ top 200 Franchise List in 2024. 🐾 We currently have over 40+ locations in 13 states, and 15 more coming soon in 2024! 🐾 Central Bark is one of the nation’s largest networks of day care for dogs. 🐾 Central Bark franchisees cared for over 29,000 dogs in 2023! 🐾 Between Dog Day Care, Overnight Boarding, and Grooming, we offered over 600,000 unique “dog experiences” in 2023! 🐾 In 2023, Central Bark earned 4 “Best Of” awards for dog day care in Atlanta, Charlotte, Tampa, and Jacksonville! 🐾 Our 40 locations have collectively been open and serving dogs and their families for a total of 431 years!
