GRANGEX: Emerging as Europe’s top DR concentrate developer With the dust settling after the acquisition of Sydvaranger and the updated DFS for Dannemora in Q2’24, the next steps for GRANGEX AB(publ.) are now to complete a PFS (in H2’24) and DFS (mid 2025) for Sydvaranger and to complete the final project financing and investment decision for Dannemora. All in all, we see several triggers in the coming 12-24 months that should drive a revaluation of the share. Our NPV calculation includes a high degree of uncertainty, especially for Sydvaranger. However, with new insights into the balance sheet and debt following Sydvaranger’s entry into the books, we’ve made a slight adjustment to the total rNPV-based fair value for today’s equity holders, now set at SEK 70 (previously SEK 73) per share, contingent upon successfully securing financing for Dannemora during H2’24. There have been many new developments at Svaaheia over the past few years. In 2023 we constructed new office facilities, employed several highly competent advisors, submitted the first deliverable of the CARBIOW project, and forged new beneficial collaborative agreements. The ongoing development of Svaaheia Business Park, a hub for industrial research, innovation, and business development, has garnered praise from academic, commercial, and political stakeholders in both Norway and the EU. However, some uncertainty has been noted regarding our endeavour. Particularly in the Dalane-region, some stakeholders have raised questions concerning the commercial developments at Svaaheia. #sustainable #business #development

More Exciting CCUS news in Canada!! The Canada Growth Fund has announced its 7th investment: up to US$100 million (C$137 million) in Svante. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: • Svante, headquartered in Burnaby, BC, manufactures filters and carbon capture machines for heavy-emitting industries using innovative 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘣𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺. • The investment builds on Svante's US$145 million (C$198.65 million) commitment to a new manufacturing facility in Burnaby. • Upon completion, the facility will produce filters capable of capturing 10 𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘖2 𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺. • The project will support approximately 300 good-paying jobs in British Columbia. • 𝘚𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘴 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 120 𝘨𝘭𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘭 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴, ensuring Canadian intellectual property remains Canadian-owned. Antofagasta plc released its 2023 financial results. Commenting on these, CEO Iván Arriagada said the following: “Antofagasta delivered strong performance in 2023 including a 5% increase in EBITDA(1) and an 11% increase in cash flow from operations. Our cost and competitiveness programme continues to deliver results, generating cost benefits of $135 million during the year, the equivalent of a 9c/lb savings on the Company’s cash cost base. With a strong balance sheet, the Company is well positioned as it enters a new phase of growth. We plan to complete the DFS for our flagship Oropesa Tin Project by the end of the year after securing Administration support for a modified project layout to further improve environmental and community outcomes. Key modifications include relocating waste dumps and the tailings dam to minimise environmental impact, redesigning a section of the access road, and moving infrastructure to optimise operations. The project modifications reflect a responsible and sustainable approach, focusing on reducing environmental impacts and providing rehabilitation measures. The targeted receipt of primary licences is set for late 2025, with first production anticipated by late 2027. Managing Director Joe David commented: “The Oropesa Project is one of the world’s largest undeveloped, open-cut tin deposits with special strategic significance to the European Union which is committed to sourcing a responsible and local ‘domestic’ supply of critical minerals like tin.” “The Administration has always been a strong supporter of the Project and we thank the officials in its key departments for working collaboratively with the company to find a responsible way forward which further improves the project’s ESG credentials. Both parties share a commitment to sustainable and responsible projects.” “In addition, we are both motivated to stimulate the economically stressed north-western Cordoba region, especially the Guadiato Valley where Oropesa is located. Alberta Innovates has received $10 million in funding from PrairiesCan, allowing us to establish a specialized production and testing facility to commercialize technologies that convert Alberta-sourced bitumen into carbon fibre. Carbon fibre made from oil sands bitumen has 69% percent lower emissions than conventional carbon fibre and could triple the value of Alberta’s bitumen resources. The potential of our Bitumen Beyond Combustion (BBC) program is in the tens of billions of dollars a year in gross revenue from advanced products.
