I've never heard a child say they want to be in sales when they grow up. But, recently, I've discovered a surprising passion for it! My sales journey kicked off with a summer internship, where I unearthed a love for crafting strategies and helping customers elevate their businesses. Currently, as a Field Sales Representative at Nestlé, I thrive on adding value by aligning customers with the right products and strategies. In the past four months, I’ve learned quite a bit. Here are three key attributes that have made a real difference: 1. Passion for the Product: Representing leading brands across various CPG categories, I genuinely believe in the positive impact our products have on our customers’ businesses. 2. Knowledge: By understanding Nestlé’s offerings and my customers’ needs, I can provide tailored solutions that drive their growth. 3. Sense of Humor: Sales can be challenging, but a good sense of humor helps build strong relationships and navigate tough situations with ease. Hey connections! I'm excited to share that I have just completed another fantastic virtual experience with Red Bull, this time focusing on their On-Premise Sales program on Forage - June 2024. In this simulation, I: * Completed a job simulation focused on On-Premise Sales activities at Red Bull. * Used Excel to visualize which on-premise clients are performing best and worst. * Communicated observations to Red Bull team members about why certain clients are performing better than others. * Utilized active listening and social proof to overcome a client’s objections, resulting in them more prominently featuring Red Bull in their bar. This experience has been incredibly enriching, and I'm thankful for the chance to learn from such a dynamic company and look forward to more opportunities to work with them in the future. Each step in this journey has brought me closer to understanding the intricacies of their operations and solidifying my passion for the brand. Dear network, I am thrilled to share that I recently completed the externship focused in On-Premise Sales & Marketing activities at Red Bull! This experience has been incredibly enriching and has provided me with valuable insights and skills. During this time, I had the opportunity to: Leverage Excel: I utilized Excel to visualize and analyze the performance of our on-premise clients, identifying which clients are excelling and which may need more support. In July 2023, I sat my final A- level By August 2023, I signed my first ever full-time contract It was a HUGE jump Whilst all my mates were about to travel the world, I was about to knuckle down and start a new venture, working with the Dragons Den Champions, Marisa Teddie and Levi 🐉 Being 18, I was the youngest in the team by at least 5 years and it’s fair to say looking back, I was pretty naive Apart from platforms like Depop, I’d NEVER worked in sales, and there was A LOT to learn I've now been working at PerfectTed for over a YEAR, and with some crucial sales training from Shani, and some experimental sales techniques, I’m now consistently hitting my all my sales targets 📈 And whilst I’m still 19 with a HUGE amount to learn, I tend to forget the progress I’ve made in a year… 😳 Last week, I generated more Sales Revenue from Monday to Thursday, than I did in the entirety of April AND May It's EASY to forget the progress you’ve made, until you reflect back on how far you've come What was your biggest learning from your first full time jobs? 📽 A highlight to kick start my career! 🎯 I was given the opportunity to interview three-time PDC World Champion darts player Michael van Gerwen! Back in February I was given the opportunity to gain some experience for MODUS Sports Management & Events , helping me attain a deeper understanding of some of the inner workings of the sports industry. We were based at Chester Racecourse for an exhibition that starred the three-time PDC World Champion player Michael van Gerwen and his long-time rival Phil 'The Power' Taylor, winner of 214 professional tournaments, including a record 85 major titles and 16 World Championships. With this being my first real insight into the industry, I was grateful enough to be watching the behind-the-scenes production, whilst taking in all the work that goes in to running such an event. As Phill Barrs began conducting interviews for Online Darts , he offered me the chance to carry out interviews too! With no expectations of this before I arrived on the day, I had no interview questions set out. However, this was an unmissable opportunity and so I took the hot seat with MvG and began my interview with him. I am incredibly thankful for the support and understanding that Michael gave me for my first high-profile interview, going the extra mile to even pass on compliments about my skills to MODUS.
