So you want to start planning your giving, but you’re not sure how to set your goals… Try using SMART goals! Using the SMART method you can breakdown your vision into the steps that will help you define and measure your impact. 1. Specific: Identify the causes and charities you want to support and the cadence or dollar amount you want to contribute throughout the year. 2. Measurable: Use the “Giving Goal” function in your Impact Account to track or monitor your progress. 3. Attainable: Set up recurring deposits into your account to help you reach your goal. Utilize recurring gifts to set up monthly donations to the charities you want to support. 4. Realistic: Reflect on what amount you want to budget for charitable giving. Does this align with your goals? 5. Time-Bound: Finally, decide when you want to get started and when you want to reach your goal. 💡 Pro tip: Giving Goals are set yearly, but when you review your giving on a regular basis you can adjust the causes and charities you support so they remain aligned with your priorities.

Any last minute people out there?! Today and tomorrow are your final opportunities to make a gift to Audiences Unlimited to help all get access to the arts. Still on the fence? Here are 5 ways that year-end giving makes a strong impact: 1. Your dollars go further with matching gift opportunities. Here at AUI, we’ve received $6,644 in contributions toward Anna’s legacy and through Giving Tuesday. That leaves $1,356 to go toward meeting our $8,000 match. Your year-end gift can help carry us across the finish line! 2. You can help non-profits meet year-end budgets. Did you know that most charities receive up to 40% of their yearly individual contributions in the last few months of the year? Your year-end donations help them make payroll, purchase necessary supplies, and offer uninterrupted services to those in need. 3. You can maximize your charitable tax credits. Now is the perfect time to assess your year-to-date giving. If you haven’t maximized those tax credits, consider making a contribution to your favorite charity before year’s end. 4. You can increase your community engagement. Want to make your community a better place for everyone? Giving any amount toward your favorite causes goes a long way toward increasing the quality of life for all. 5. It Just Feels Good! Studies show that giving to charity actually boosts your endorphin levels—the perfect way to round-out the year! Click this link to donate before it is too late: https://lnkd.in/gQVVcJeQ

Why some nonprofit websites struggle to attract donations or support. Here are three common reasons—and how to fix them. 1️⃣ Your message isn’t clear. If you’re not explaining why you need support, what programs will donations help support, or how supporters can help, people won’t feel compelled to give. Be super clear about the need and the impact their support will have. 2️⃣ It’s hard to find the donation page/button. If people can’t easily spot your “Donate” button—or if it’s buried on your website—you’re losing donors. Make it stand out! It should be obvious and easy to click. 3️⃣ The donation process is too complicated. Even if people relate to your message and click the donate button, they might give up if your payment process isn’t user-friendly. If it’s clunky, slow, or confusing, you’ll see a lot of people abandon their donation halfway through. ✨ Bottom line: Be clear about your need, make it easy to navigate to the donation page, and ensure the actual donation process is simple. These small tweaks can make a huge difference. Thanks for reading—let’s make it easier for people to support great causes!

Daffy members, your 2024 giving recap is here✨ If you want to make a bigger difference in 2025, your personalized recap will give you a snapshot of your 2024 giving & help you set a new giving goal for the year ahead. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗮 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹? Many of us want to give back more regularly, but despite our best intentions, life gets in the way. Unfortunately, this mentality leads to what we call the Generosity Gap: the difference between what people 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 and what we 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦. The good news? Research shows that simply setting a giving goal can increase charitable donations by 32%. At Daffy, we've seen this firsthand—based on thousands of our members, our community collectively exceeded their giving goals by 𝟱𝟱𝟴%. By our estimates, this means that if charitable giving continues to grow over the next ten years at the rate it has grown in the past decade and if everyone was able to close that 32% gap, it would mean 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 $𝟭.𝟮𝟴𝗧 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝟭𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀. Not sure how much to give? Start by asking yourself: how much do you want to give to charity this year? Whether it's a percentage of income or a few hundred dollars, 𝘢𝘯𝘺 number is a great place to start. What matters is to start making giving a habit. 💫 Ready to make 2025 your most generous year yet? Pet peeve. 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀. If your donation form has too many steps, you’re probably losing donors. A smooth donation process isn’t just nice to have—𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹. Think about the time and money nonprofits spend on marketing only to have potential donors abandon their giving carts. That's because every extra click, limited payment option, or slow load time increases the chance a donor won’t complete their gift. That's why I love recommending Fundraise Up. It's easy to install, very customizable and provides an excellent giving experience. The result? More completed donations and a better experience for everyone. Plus, they have a ton of insightful data on the backend that can help drive future fundraising results. I hope this helps! #NonprofitTips #FundraiseUp #Fundraising #DonorExperience #NonprofitSuccess #FundraiseSmarter #NonprofitInnovation #IncreaseDonations #SocialImpact

#themoreyouknow #fundraisers #nonprofits The average online donation is over $50 nationally. Many organizations see online average gifts in the $100 - $250 range. S o I can’t help but shake my head in confusion every time I see a charity with a $10 first ask on an online donation form. If you think that you’re going to get hundreds of thousands of people to each give you $10 because you asked them for a low dollar gift, you’re wrong. You do not have hundreds of thousands of people searching for you site just to give you money every year. The math doesn’t lie. So don’t waste your opportunity to engage the few precious visitors you do get every day with a $10 ask. Please start your gift array at least at $50. Heck. Maybe even $75 or $100!

It's Giving Tuesday! What are you giving today? Did you know that Giving Tuesday began in 2012 and has grown into a global movement? You don't have to make a 6-figure donation to make a difference. Every dollar counts to help nonprofits lift up our communities, care for the vulnerable, preserve our natural resources for future generations, and foster countless programs to educate, engage, and enrich the lives of our neighbors. Just a few things your donation can help give: 🏥 relief for a family caring for a sick loved one 🐶 a warm space for a dog or cat in a shelter 🍎 a meal for someone in your community 🌿 green spaces, clean air and water 📖 a new book for a young child ✨ hope, joy, kindness, love Whether it's your time through volunteering, your support in the form of a monetary donation, or your voice is raising awareness of critical causes and nonprofits in your area, I hope you are moved to give today. If you're in Portland and looking for inspiration, highly recommend checking out the annual GiveGuide at GiveGuide.org to find dozens of mission-driven organizations doing great work in our communities. Wishing all nonprofits a successful day of fundraising and all donors a joyous day of giving! (Just PLEASE, in the name of all that is good, do NOT scorn an incredible nonprofit just because they have "high overhead." It's all overhead, nonprofit workers deserve an affordable cost of living and resources to carry out their programs successfully too 💛 ) #GivingTuesday
