🗳️ Exciting update! Our partnership for the Rolling for Change campaign, funded by the Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust, progress is currently underway! 🌟 We've been actively engaging with our community to gather insights and understand the barriers and challenges they face. Through these conversations, it's become clear that there's a disconnect with participating in the democratic process with ethnic diverse communities, specifically the black community in the UK, as they often feel left out and unheard when it comes to politics, and feel that there is a lack of representation leading to many not feeling a connection with the democratic process. Many perceive politics as negative and are unaware of the specific hidden benefits of registering to vote, which our Rolling for Change Ambassadors will share and educate our community on during our campaign. But fear not, we're here to help bridge that gap! Together, we're working to ensure that every voice is heard through empowering our community to register to vote as every vote counts. Stay tuned as we unveil more about the benefits of registering to vote and how you can make a difference in our community. Here’s a to-do list to keep you engaged and active in promoting a just and equitable society. 1. Understand Your Civic Rights    - Knowledge is the first step toward empowerment. Take time this month to learn about your civic rights. Understanding these rights will help you recognize when they are being upheld or violated. 2. Take Action    - Put your knowledge into practice. Whether it’s signing petitions, participating in peaceful protests, or contacting your local representatives, every action counts in the fight for justice and equality. 3. Lend Your Voice    - Use your platforms to speak out against injustices. Share information, raise awareness, and support those who are fighting for their rights. Your voice can be a powerful tool for change. 4. Stay Motivated    - Activism can be challenging, but staying motivated is key. Surround yourself with like-minded individuals, celebrate small victories, and remind yourself of the importance of the cause. 5. Learn Something New    - Commit to learning something new about civic rights each week. Every balanced grants portfolio should invest in at least one civic participation organization. We must resource local leaders dismantling systemic barriers, especially in hostile environments. For example, as Black and brown communities face voter suppression and misinformation, supporting civic engagement orgs can ensure every voter’s voice is heard.
