When I hire someone at F30 to welcome in our team, one broad thing I look for is if the applicant understands my vision for F30, the kind of agency I am building, or intend to build. Now, an applicant does not have a clear answer to this, so to break it down into identifiable markers, I look for the right attitude. If the person is dedicated, can commit to learning in addition to having knowledge, skills and soft skills. Skills can be taught, tools can be taught, softwares can be taught, but the attitude is something ingrained in a person, that's what I believe. F30 stands for a date- February 30 which is an impossible date in the calendar. The vision that I understand for F30 and it is inspired by Adidas tagline - Impossible is nothing. So if an applicant is willing to take up the challenges and willing to go that extra mile, I decide we will make a good team. #digitalmarketing #branding #advertising #hiring

How are you enjoying the global summer sporting event taking place in France? You'll notice I don't name it. Force of habit. I worked at Nike in the build-up to the global summer sporting event in London in 2012. As a non-sponsor Nike was prevented from making any association with the event, the name of the event, the logo of the event, the language of the event, such as "gold" (as Nike is demonstrating at this year's global summer sporting event "silver" and "bronze" don't count). To make matters worse, there was a geographical ring fence around each venue at the said sporting event. Only sponsors had access to promote their brand within the boundaries. Worse still, from 1st February 2012 Nike could not use any of its sponsored athletes competing in London in its marketing. Pretty crap for a sporting brand. However, rather than stifle our creativity, it unleashed it. In the face of huge limitations, we leaned into the power of the community of young everyday athletes we'd cultivated in the lead up to the event. We staged our own events in a way that only a brand like Nike could. We found ways to celebrate the magic moments in the big sporting event, such as Sir Mo's double gold without directly showing the athletes involved. I find parallels to the Nike story in the work I do now as a coach. The brilliant thinkers I partner often arrive with a sense of stuckness (is that a word?) around an issue in their work. Given we tend to operate with a negativity bias, it's natural to them to focus on what they're lacking in relation to solving their problem. Luckily, the coaching partnership is a creative process that enables the thinker to focus on what's strong rather than what's wrong. It will support them as they find a way to move forwards. Maybe you're looking for a personal best in your career this summer. If you need a coach, let's talk. #careercoaching #leadershipcoaching #strengths #nike #paris2024

It’s rare in today’s fast-paced and ever-evolving job market to witness someone stay with the same company throughout their entire career like Mr. Hill. This level of dedication, loyalty, and the ability to adapt over time is truly remarkable. As I reflect on his career path, it’s clear that being part of one organization from the ground up not only shows a deep alignment with the company’s mission but also highlights a leader’s capability to evolve alongside the brand through various market shifts, leadership roles, and transformations. However, it’s important to acknowledge that not everyone is granted this type of opportunity. Some individuals are fortunate enough to be entrusted with key roles early on, enabling them to climb the ranks, while others have to prove themselves at every step, often overcoming significant barriers along the way. These challenges can fuel resilience, creativity, and grit, but they also highlight the inequalities in career progression opportunities. Most of us will never experience this kind of seamless journey. Career trajectories today often involve pivots, industry changes, and hard-earned opportunities spread across multiple organizations. While change and adaptation can drive growth, there’s something powerful about witnessing someone rise within the same company, expanding their scope, responsibility, and impact. For those of us navigating a different path, remember—each journey is unique. Whether you’re with one organization for years or proving your worth across different ventures, it’s the experiences and lessons learned along the way that shape your legacy. #Leadership #CareerGrowth #Dedication #Opportunities #ProfessionalJourney #CareerInequality #Resilience

📣 This week, we unveiled a new component of our Fair Labor Accreditation process: Milestone 5 Post-Accreditation Reports In order to achieve Accreditation, our #FairLaborMember companies go through a rigorous, multi-year process that evaluates a company’s systems to improve labor conditions in its Tier One and owned manufacturers based on five milestones. Each milestone represents key building blocks of an effective social compliance program. Once they reach Accreditation, the work doesn’t end — our members receive ongoing due diligence and have annual Milestone 5 evaluations and factory assessments. Now, for the first time, FLA is reporting on these post-accreditation activities, giving companies an opportunity to highlight their overall performance against a set of key performance indicators for each of the 10 FLA Principles. The Post-Accreditation evaluation system focus on three Principles a year over the course of a three-year cycle. Special thanks to adidas, Burton Snowboards, Colosseum Athletics, Fenix Outdoor, HUGO BOSS, Patagonia, and PUMA Group for piloting this new type of reporting with us. If you’re interested in learning more about these reports and our Accreditation process more broadly, please visit fairlabor.org.

From Intern to CEO: Nike's Elliott Hill's Incredible Journey This is a throwback story that'll make you do a double-take! Nike's new CEO, Elliott Hill, started his career there in 1988 as an intern. That's right, an intern! 🤯 Fast forward 31 years, and he's sitting at the top of the corporate ladder. It's a classic underdog story that's almost unheard of in today's corporate world. But the best part? Under Hill's leadership, Nike's stock increased by a staggering 21,000%. Talk about a home run! ⚾️ Hill's journey proves that with dedication, hard work, and a bit of luck, you can achieve anything. He truly "Just Did It" and became a legend in the process. 👏 #business #leadership #careergoals #nike

Offer what no one else can. (Also some further work with Nike x Haaland) My background in maths and engineering is the reason why I perform well in what I do. The creative industry is flooded with talent. When I moved here my dream was to become a director. I quickly realised that on the top level, I aspired to be part of, the industry was full of people who: - had an established network - had more experience than I had - grew up with better influences than I did - were simply better at coming up with creative ideas than myself I sat down, shut my ego, and looked at my strengths over everyone in the industry: - A better understanding of technology, innovation, and numbers through my educational background - Better at communicating with people and leading them towards a desired result through my years of working in hospitality So, I pivoted. I started working in production. And I never looked back. The point is: Always play to your strengths. The creative world might be a team sport but the reality is that only a certain amount of players are needed for each position. Find the one where you’ve a clear advantage over others, to establish yourself. P.S. You can be competitive and kind at the same time. 📌 Thanks to Rosco Productions for having me.
