So stunning in scale! I am truly impressed with the amount of data currently accessible, and at great frequency. Just a couple decades ago, only a few governments had access to that kind of information. Deforestation, wildfires, crop temperatures, gas concentrations, temperatures ... all available via the constellations of Planet and Muon and the like. A lovely mix of launch and electronics cost reduction combined with cloud services.

Capturing the magnitude of the fossil fuel industry in one image is impossible, but we tried anyway. The 250 x 300 mile large Permian Basin produces nearly half of US oil. But a single image only hints at its scale, so check out our story on energy to learn more: https://lnkd.in/gExNfgeF

"ExxonMobil’s Permian Basin production volume will more than double to 1.3 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (MOEBD), based on 2023 volumes, and is expected to increase to approximately two MOEBD in 2027, based on initial estimates... The multiple pay zones that the Permian Basin has makes it so good. It’s future is very important and will remain. It is the largest oil and gas play in the US. The natural gas market will continue to grow with cryogenic processing and with Europe needs. We need to return to energy independence and push pipelines to the Gulf Coast for export.
