Look up in the sky 🌤 It's a bird 🕊 It's a sky lantern 🏮 It's a weather balloon! 🎈 A party balloon too. Really. To launch one, my BEAR (Balloon Experiment carrying Amateur Radio) Team spent months preparing for it. A few weeks prior to launch we had to file our flight plans with the RSAF, CAAS and IMDA. 15mins before lift off, you can see me (in the photo) calling the airforce duty controller to get positive clearance for our "party balloon" to be released. We have launched our experimental balloons nine times so far. At least one of our balloons reached an altitude beyond 36km or 110,000feet 👩🚀 What we have learned: 🎈 #Regulations: study them in great detail and propose within limits. 🎈 Regulators: #respect and work with them. Give them time. 🎈 #Teamwork is critical to success, especially clarity of #roles and trust. 🎈 Variables such as the weather are beyond our control. 🎈 Plan, Do, Check, Act, all the time. #PDCA Above all, #Hope is Not a Method. I would know, having serviced public sector clients for over twenty years 😅 Hope you have a great weekend ahead 🙂

“The #Boeing #737Max appears to have a #CabinPressure of approximately 8,000 feet, which was higher than the #Boeing787 I had connected to it on, and that had a #cabin at 6,000 feet approximate equivalent #pressure. 6,000 feet #pressurization is known to cause less #HealthIssues in #passengers. So, why is this Cessna 172 suspended from the ceiling of Harry Reid airport at Las Vegas? Well, for starters, it's Vegas! But more importantly, this aircraft and it's crew of two set an air endurance record (being airborne without landing) of 64 days, 22 hours, 19 minutes and change! This was back in 1958-59, and remains unbroken till date. If this tidbit of information was new and interesting, imagine what other stuff I may talk about on Thursday at the #identiverse conference, on the topic of "Unified IGA, PAM and AM Orchestration Based Approach for Maximizing IAM Adoption". Yes, it sounds like the title of a research paper, but it's a lot more exciting! See you there. https://lnkd.in/gpXpf7GJ PS: A good writeup about this Cessna 172 is at https://lnkd.in/gXwb3XW8

The Concorde was unique in all of her aspects, On ground handling, TakeOff handling, Cruising, Approach and Landing handling. Here, AirFrance's Concorde is on final approach- the touchdown phase. Look out for the ANGLE OF ATTACK as the pilot flying executes the flare. Why was the Angle of Attack super high? Let's enlighten each other the flight parameters of the Concorde and the delta wing shape effect...Off to the comments section or shall we??
