Strategically aligned project selection to support a campaign is a key element of success. Yet, we often see organizations stumble in this area. Too often, there is a laundry list of things that are "critically important"--which means nothing is legitimately important or compelling. Alternatively, project selection falls victim to other challenges like being outside core organizational strategy, low donor appeal, a poorly developed business case, inadequate time to campaign or more. However, project selection sits at the very front of the value chain that drives success, since project selection drives the case for support which in turn drives the identification of prospective clinician and donor partners...and so on.
