On September 11, 2001, our nation endured the most horrifying acts of terror in recent American history - a deliberate and despicable attack that resulted in the deaths of 2,977 people. That day saw both the worst and best of humanity, as first responders, medical service personnel, law enforcement professionals and ordinary civilians risked their lives to save the lives of others. In the face of terror, heroes ran toward burning buildings and charged hijacked cockpits, paying the ultimate sacrifice. Our brave men and women of the military quickly mobilized to defend our Constitution and send a clear message to the rest of the world. These attacks were intended to weaken our resolve and undermine our fundamental values, but Americans continue to embrace freedom and democracy instead of fear and oppression. 22 years later, as we reflect on this national day of remembrance, may we never forget the lives lost, sacrifices made and unwavering resilience of our country. #september11 #neverforget #insenate45

Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Guru, was a strong advocate for justice, equality, and standing up against oppression. While it's not possible to know exactly what he would do in any modern situation, his teachings encourage the protection of the innocent and the fight against tyranny in all its forms. As humans, there are several ways we can help stop genocide and support those affected by such crises: - **Educate ourselves** about the issues and the history behind them. - **Raise awareness** by discussing these topics within our communities and on social media. - **Support organizations** that work towards humanitarian relief and conflict resolution. - **Advocate for political action** by contacting representatives and supporting policies that aim to prevent such atrocities. It's important to approach these issues with compassion and understanding, working together towards peace and justice for all.
All views expressed are my own. I am accepting all connection requests from people who are standing up for the injustices currently taking place in Palestine and around the world.
Interesting Exchange 👉Both Abby Martin & Rania Khalek have refused to condemn Palestinian armed resistance when pushed to do so on Piers Morgan. Why? Let's make it simple. Americans do you condemn the founding fathers?

On January 6th, 2021, all of us globally witnessed the #insurrection at the #USCapitol where #DomesticTerrorists breached the Capitol Building to attempt a #CoupDEtat which ultimately failed. There are many disturbing pictures taken of that day of the violence that caused damage to the building and loss of life to the defenders of the US Capitol. But one picture that stands out to me is the one of this domestic terrorist carrying the #ConfederateFlag which for the first time in #USHistory was near or inside the Capitol. https://lnkd.in/e24svp8f The Confederate Flag which represents #bigotry, #hate, #racism and support of #slavery amongst many other heinous things was proudly flown by the losing side of the #US #CivilWar but it never made it within six miles of the US Capitol until exactly three years ago. Having gone to High School in the state of #Arkansas which was a #ConfederateState during the Civil War, I saw the flag that represents hate everywhere and never fully understood what it represented until I studied the true history of that flag on my own. I was definitely not going to learn its history in my high school in a state that still embraced that flag and continues to. There are many people downplaying what happened three years ago and a mind boggling 1 in 4 #Americans believe that January 6th, 2021 was instigated by the #FBI. Today is a solemn day and a day we should continue to remind ourselves of how easy it is for people to follow #Demagogues. #FoodForThought and something to ponder as we enter the #PresidentialElection this year. #SaturdayThoughts

The actions of the i$raeli Offensive Army in #Gaza reek of barbarism, resorting to banned and barbaric weaponry such as white phosphorus and cluster munitions. The aftermath? Nothing short of excruciating pain, disfigurement, and tragic deaths inflicted upon innocent civilians: children, women, the elderly subjected to sheer horror. These despicable deeds brazenly trample upon international humanitarian laws and the most fundamental human rights, inflicting immeasurable agony and everlasting trauma. Deliberate strikes on civilian hubs be it churches, mosques, UN schools, or hospitals show a callous indifference to the value of human life. The international community must not cower but must rise, vehemently condemning these heinous #warcrimes and #HumanRights violations. Those responsible must be held to account, ensuring protection for the most defenseless amidst the chaos of conflict. There's no room for hesitation; it's time for action and justice. CEASEFIRE NOW

Impending Prisoner Exchange: A Wake-Up Call for the West The impending prisoner exchange between Russia and the West, the largest since the Cold War, is more than just a symbolic gesture. It is a clear signal that Russia is engaged in a hybrid conflict with us. This exchange clearly shows that we are dealing with an adversary willing to assert its power position by any means necessary. From cyberattacks to disinformation campaigns to military actions – the range of methods employed is vast. It is time to acknowledge this reality and act accordingly. Our responses must be as multifaceted and determined as the challenges we face. Only through close cooperation, strategic planning, and decisive actions can we defend our values and interests. Even with this exchange, Russia achieves its goals, sometimes at high costs, but in the end, the gains matter most. We have to face this Reality. #Geopolitics #Security #Unity #Strategy #Russia #West #HybridConflict

💔 I am absolutely heartbroken to share this horrifying video captured by the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce team on the Ground in Israel. It reveals the unimaginable pain and sorrow endured by innocent civilian Jews, who were brutally murdered in the most barbaric ways by Hamas. The footage shows full refrigerators, once filled with hope and promise, now serving as at max capacity of Jewosh civilian body’s murdered by Hamas in cold blood. It’s a grim reminder of the lives lost to senseless violence. It serves as a chilling testament to the evil that continues to plague our world. We must stand together, united against such acts of hatred and terrorism. It is crucial that we raise awareness about these atrocities, ensuring that the voices of the victims are never silenced. Let us use this platform to share their stories and demand justice. Together, we can make a difference and work towards a future free from violence and discrimination. 💙 Some suggested hashtags to accompany this important content: - #StandStrong - #NeverForget - #JusticeForJewishLives - #EndTerrorism - #UnitedAgainstHatred - #PrayForPeace - #StopViolence Please join me in spreading awareness and standing up against these heinous acts. Together, we can shine a light on the darkness, and honor the memory of those lost. 🕯️💙 #StopViolence #StandStrong #NeverForget

Our world was created for harmony and #peace. Yet divisions, shootings, injustice, #bullying, terrorism, war erupt all around us, with costly results*. “A House Divided Cannot Stand” (see my one minute video in my blog https://lnkd.in/eZz6YXD) My heart breaks. When we share #power, it leads to peace and #prosperity.* Consider the statements and intention shared in the written blog as well as the examples in the video of when I feel I have handled bullying well and not so well.

Yesterday, we witnessed the appalling act of our flag being burned and desecrated. While the Constitution allows for peaceful assembly and demonstration, as an American patriot, I cannot condone this under the guise of free speech. This act represents nothing but pure disdain and hatred for our country, carried out by those who hide behind masks and wave flags of terror. Why is it now acceptable to display symbols of terrorism? Countless true Americans have sacrificed their lives for our flag. Our veterans, who responded to its call time and again without hesitation, deserve better. Our flag should remain a symbol of hope and pride, not be overshadowed by the actions of a few dissidents and cowards who would rather promote anti-American sentiments than defend the principles this country stands for. Perhaps those who find our nation so objectionable should experience life elsewhere? To those of us who cherish what our flag truly symbolizes, let’s make every day Flag Day. Fly Old Glory daily. It’s time to counteract the immoral minority decisively. We must push for legislation that makes desecrating our flag a crime. Let’s stand together to protect and honor our symbol of freedom!

19.11.23 Volkstrauertag Today we commemorate Remembrance Day, a day of remembrance for all victims of violence from around the world. It is regrettable that we live in a time in which wars and violence still exist. Remembrance Day reminds us that peace cannot be taken for granted. It is a precious commodity that requires continuous effort to maintain. It should go without saying that we should learn from the past and work together for a more peaceful future. Every war leaves a trail of destruction, sadness and suffering in the hearts of all nations. Let us use this day to reflect on the value of peace and remind ourselves that we as a society and as individuals should be wise enough to avoid violent conflict. Together we can create a world where such days of remembrance of victims of violence are no longer necessary. Our sympathy goes out to all people who suffer because of wars and violence. May we support each other and raise our voices to resolve conflicts in a peaceful way. Only in this way can we ensure a better future for generations to come. #ForABetterFuture #Solidarity #Security #NoTerror #Acceptance #Peace #Remembrance #VictimsofViolence #MemorialDay

Focus on Hamas War Crimes (Jennifer Rubin, The Washington Post) The Israel Defense Forces' daring operation that rescued four Israeli hostages held for more than eight months provided new context for the war. Hamas committed war crimes on Oct. 7 by killing, raping and abducting civilians. It has continued to commit war crimes by holding civilians hostage and, again, by treating them inhumanely. And in making military targets of civilian homes by turning them into hostage cells, Hamas has again committed war crimes. Any civilian death is regrettable, but in this scenario, Hamas is solely responsible for the casualties resulting from the rescue mission. To the extent civilians become participants - including hostage-holding - they lose the protection of international law. Hamas has committed a grave legal and moral wrong in erasing the line between civilians and combatants. Hamas wants more civilians to die. It's incumbent on Israel's harshest critics to dissociate themselves from Hamas enablers and antisemites. If not, they have no claim to the moral high ground. https://lnkd.in/eFy5ED4u
