This is happening tomorrow! Read Kerissa's post for more detail about how the Royal Aeronautical Society are marking #internationalwomensday2024. Such a great speaker line-up and bold topics! If it's not already in your diary, see if you can join us online or in-person, even for part of the conference. Pass this on to any of your network and colleagues (not just women!) who would (or should) be interested. If you do miss out, look out for follow-up later in the week! #inspiringinclusion #changingtrajectories #closingthegap

Looking forward to hosting the Royal Aeronautical Society President's International Women's Day event tomorrow!   As only the 2nd woman in 158 years to hold this position as President, I am acutely aware of the significantly disproportionate number of women not just in leadership roles, but across all levels of our #aerospace, #aviation and #space industries worldwide. Today, women continue to face adversities in the workplace that are barriers to progress and gender parity.   This event will drive meaningful #dialogue on ‘hard topics’ and aim to #empower attendees with key information, helpful insights and practical tools.   You can expect my thought-provoking interview with American lawyer, politician, chair of the World Economic Forum Future of Care Economy Global Future Council and founder of Girls Who Code and Moms First, Reshma Saujani. Hear from international speakers - Martine Gagné, Lucie Prinz, Jemma Austin, Maria Casero Borges, Christine Matthews and Ruth Mallors-Ray OBE.   Join interactive sessions as we delve into: - Addressing inappropriate behaviours, including harassment, in the workplace - Tackling gender pay and promotion gaps - Impact of disproportionate care responsibilities on mental health and well-being - Organisational duty of care in providing safe and supportive working environments   🕑 14:00 GMT, in-person at RAeS HQ, London and online. All are welcome to be part of this important dialogue as we work towards a more #equitable and #inclusive future for our industries. #womeninaerospace #womeninaviation #womeninspace #womeninleadership #iwd2024 Register 👇
