🚀🛡 🌎 As modern warfare evolves, the strategic use and development of the #Space domain have become paramount in the process of enabling NATO, as #MultiDomain Alliance. This ensures not only advanced defence capabilities, but also a safer global future. Recently, NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) welcomed General Devin Pepper as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Plans and Policy. He is the first United States Space Force General Officer to be assigned to NATO. In its mission to enable NATO as a Multi-Domain Alliance, NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) is raising awareness about the importance of the Space domain. It is widely incorporating space considerations, possibilities, and threats into all aspects of Allied strategic warfare development. Additionally, it seeks to enhance engagement and cooperation with space-focused industries and academia. 🇵🇱 Poland and 🇯🇵 Japan have secured new agreements with 🇺🇸 the U.S. to access the Wideband Global Satcom (WGS) satellite 🛰️ system, highlighting the growing importance of space-based military communications amidst escalating global tensions. Operated by the U.S. Space Force and built by Boeing, the WGS system 📡 consists of 10 geostationary satellites that have supported U.S. military operations since the launch of WGS-1 in 2007. Upcoming satellites, WGS-11 and WGS-12, set to launch in 2025 and 2027, will serve as primary access points for Poland and Japan. These agreements integrate Poland and Japan into a WGS coalition that includes nations like Australia, Canada, and NATO members, aligning with NATO’s enhanced focus on space in response to shifting security dynamics, particularly following the Ukraine invasion. 👍

Ellison. The two were able to sit down together just before HCSS hosted the very first The Hague Strategic Foresight Forum Talks, titled: ‘Navigating Tomorrow: Transatlantic Outlooks on the Future Security Landscape and its Implications for the Netherlands’. China Doesn't Want Space Cooperation between the US and Japan Recently, China accused the US of "continuing to expand its space military capabilities, strengthening space military alliances and provoking a space arms race" after the US Space Force began operating a unit out of Yokota Air Base in western Tokyo. The Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman said that the US actions have "jeopardized global strategic stability" and that China urges "the US to seriously examine its dangerous actions in the space domain, cease provoking space confrontations and stop spreading false narratives." Beijing's duplicitous rhetoric is tiresome, but it could affect the BRICS/Belt and Road and other countries where China is trying to supply space-related operations, capabilities, and services. https://lnkd.in/e_E23MA9
