The European Commission is currently consulting on the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) to enhance environmental sustainability. This new legislation, aligned with the EU Green Deal and Circular Economy Action Plan, aims to replace the existing Ecodesign Directive. The regulation will broaden its scope beyond energy-related products to include all products in the EU market, prioritizing high-impact sectors like high impact intermediate products (such as steel, cement and chemicals). Manufacturers will face new requirements to reduce negative environmental impacts, building upon the successes of existing regulations in improving energy efficiency. #EU #Sustainability #CircularEconomy #sustainabilityinturkey
