🌟 2 days back, I had an incredible experience diving into the world of Mergers and Acquisitions through AmplifyME 's simulation in partnership with UBS ! 🚀 As a student attendee, I can't emphasize enough how invaluable this two-hour immersion was in understanding the complexities of finance and honing practical skills. From crafting financial models to preparing pitch decks, every moment was a learning opportunity. We practiced being M&A junior #analyst. We got to learn first, then we solved it practically in Excel files as a test (limited time of 1st test of 15 minutes and 2nd of 40 minutes). I attended class a little bit late so, I scored 27/100 in 1st test (I felt disappointed but I joined late so was not able to figure out something in the test and time was also running so fast), I then attended the rest of the class and thought of scoring good as well as to learn it. Guess what? I scored 100/100 in my 2nd test and there were only 5/70 attendees to get 100 and I was one of them, Thankfully! Other than M&A analyst learning, I got to learn 1 more thing. Don't get disappointed and feel for the whole life at any moment. Take failure as a point that you have to improve now and want to get successful. It was just a 2 hours class and just a test, but it taught me this thing as well! I got a Certificate as well (the main thing is not to get certificate only but to learn something). Kudos to Stephen Barnett for creating such a dynamic and accessible platform. Thanks to Dr Rofayda El Hout, CPA, AFHEA for letting us know about this opportunity through university mail and I got registered for this. If you're looking to supercharge your finance education and stand out in the field, I highly recommend checking out AmplifyME's simulations. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! #FinanceEducation #MergersAndAcquisitions #AmplifyYourSkills 📈💼

Many thanks to Mark S. Greenfield and his team at Norton Rose Fulbright for hosting the YPO Private Equity Summit 2024 in New York City last week. The fireside chat with Lawrence E. Golub, CEO of Golub Capital, was inspiring as he shared his professional journey. As a long-time YPO member, I had the honor to speak alongside Douglas Mellinger of Clarion Capital Partners, Christopher Gilmore of Salesforce, and Sunil Garga of Foundation Source, as we explored the critical role of Tech and Data in Private Equity Investing. Key takeaways from our panel for private equity firms and their portfolio companies were: - Technology and data are strategic assets that drive competitive advantage. - It’s imperative to build strong partnerships with software vendors and trusted expert implementers. - Adopting the right technology, like Salesforce, and embracing AI can significantly boost valuation at exit by driving operational improvements and efficiency. This event was a fantastic opportunity for Orion Global Solutions to further expand our private equity practice by sharing technology, digital transformation, and Salesforce best practices with fellow YPO members. Events like this create opportunities to connect, exchange insights, and build impactful relationships. #YPO #digitaltransformation #salesforce #salesforcepartner #privateequity #AI #artificialintelligence #pe #technology #valuation #salesforceventures #mergersandacquisitions

While the British Emerging Manager Institute (BEMI) was formed primarily to support GPs with knowledge and support as they create and scale their firms, the degree of LP interest in the initiative has also been significant. A core part of our value proposition is allowing LPs to discover the deals and strategies of UK emerging managers. Over time, there's the potential to build out a formal ecosystem connecting GPs and LPs. Today, we're grateful for the support from our founding capital provider partners: Capital Dynamics, Eighteen48 Partners, Headway Capital Partners , Federated Hermes, Keyhaven Capital Partners, LC Partners, and Patria Investments. #emergingmanagers #privateequity
