Food Drive Competition - By team, by floor, by department. Because of the ever-evolving supply chain, shelf-stable items are in high demand. Our donation door is open for extended hours during the holidays! (feedmore.org) Year-End Budget Surplus - Many companies have a use-it-or-lose-it approach. Have a little extra budget at year-end? Invest in the community through a special gift or purchase to help provide food to our community. Consider sponsoring one of our key programs. Mid-winter volunteering - We LOVE volunteers! Volunteers make up 2/3rds of the Feed More team. Consider signing up and locking in for January and February shifts now.

CALLING all community non-profit and service organizations who want to be a part of the food insecurity solution by bringing a fun, interactive, community-building food drive event to your community.  While we’re all still enjoying the dog days of summer, it’s the perfect time to think about ‘Fall Fundraising’. With higher food prices and increasing shortages affecting us all, Sharecrows.org offers a creative, grassroots solution to restock community food banks by turning scarecrows into Sharecrows.  What’s a Sharecrow? A Sharecrow is a scarecrow display with a bin for collecting non-perishable food items to help restock local food banks. As communities across North America face varying degrees of food bank shortages, this is the perfect event to replenish food bank supplies. Sharecrows.org has introduced a straightforward Fall Food Drive event designed for non-profit/service organizations to host in their communities. They’ve done all the heavy event planning lifting and made it super easy for your organization to roll out. Sharecrows.org presents a triple-win opportunity for your organization to become a "Hunger Hero" and contribute to alleviating food insecurities. A win for food banks facing critical shortages. A win for the community to engage in a fun and interactive scarecrow food drive tour, fostering creativity, community building, and supporting a good cause. Yea it’s a five minute video, who watches those anymore! However, if you followed us over the course of Serve Week 2024 (The Ocho) this is an awesome wrap up and great work by the team. We try and use LinkedIn to open a window into our culture. And while Foundry Commercial isn’t perfect and we will always have work to do in pursuit of our standards, I think this is one of the things we get really right. We are a services company and spending time with these amazing organizations, which we encourage you to check out and support, reminds us what true service looks like. Join Building Impact in fighting against summer hunger for families in need by contributing to their Summer Food Drive. In Massachusetts, 36% of surveyed households with children reported that their child is food insecure. With summer break coming up for kids, many families who rely on school-provided breakfasts and lunches may be struggling to purchase food. 100% of all donations will go to their three partners: Action for Boston Community Development, Inc. (ABCD), Boston Medical Center (BMC)'s Preventative Food Pantry, and People Helping People, Inc. - Burlington MA to help deliver meals. Thank you for your generous contributions to Giving Tuesday! Yesterday was a magnificent day of generosity by the community of Grassroots Grocery. On Giving Tuesday, our community truly delivered: - Over $25,000 in donations on a single day! - 48 Giving Ambassadors used their personal platforms to share the movement with their communities - Countless others sharing about a community determined to fight food insecurity. With an inclusive spirit of unity for the greater good. To all, a wholehearted thank you! Giving Tuesday donations have propelled our community well on the way to the goal of raising $100,000, to fight food insecurity and bring the pantry to more people than ever in 2024. That means: - More excess produce rescued–With our new 24-foot truck, we're saving more produce every week - More people served–In the last two months, we’ve gone from serving 1,100 households per week to more than 2,500…and counting! - More people to power the movement–We’ve hired a full-time driver, who’s making daily deliveries into the heart of the community. In 2024, we’ll add to our staff, to increase our capacity even more! None of this would happen without you–a community of neighbors helping neighbors. The Give NCW campaign is a great platform for teaching your children about philanthropy and the importance of giving back to their communities! Here are some ideas for how to get started: 1. Carve out some time to talk about gratitude and how you can show your thankfulness by supporting causes you care about in your community. 2, Ask your children what they care most about: Animal welfare? The environment? Music and arts? Helping others less fortunate? 3. Use the list of participating nonprofits at GiveNCW.org (or in the printed directory) to find organizations that match their interests. 4. Determine a giving budget: Can your child use some of their allowance to pitch in? Will you as parents match their gifts? Remember, minimum gift through Give NCW is just $10! 5.
