Further to our post earlier this week about questions within the French National Assembly regarding plans for replacement of the Patrouille de France's fleet of AlphaJets and the response mentioning interest in a modular solution, it was interesting to see a related question being raised in the UK Parliament. It is good to see the conversation evolving around the wide ranging benefits of a modular solution for air forces, including of course, the Royal Air Force. #Modular #AERALIS #Airforce

The Finnish Air Force retires HN-401, which a fleet leader of the F/A-18 Hornet fleet, today. The aircraft has been flown more than other F/A-18s during its 27+ years of service. The Finnish Air Force's aircraft HN-401 flew its final flight on 26.4.2024 at the Finnish Air Force Commander's media event at the Satakunta Air Wing in Pirkkala. In December 2021, the FAF took a decision to spend $9.4 billion on a deal to procure 64 F-35s from Lockheed Martin to replace the aging F/A-18 Hornets.
