The study “The State of AI in Architecture” commissioned by Chaos highlights AI's growing role in architectural design, particularly in conceptual stages and operational efficiency. However, it reveals a significant ethical dilemma: the lack of specific guidelines for AI use. This concern is echoed in the Royal Institute of British Academy (RIBA)’s Artificial Intelligence Report 2024, which stresses the need for responsible AI management amid rapid technological changes. Despite short-term benefits, as noted by Des Fagan, the profession is still in an experimental phase, underscoring the urgent need for ethical standards. 👉 https://lnkd.in/dtYyiaix #AIinArchitecture #ArchitecturalDesign #AIFuture #EthicalAI

Did you know that artificial intelligence (AI) could revolutionize maritime operations? Frank Coles, an expert in the field, believes that generative AI could transform maritime transportation in surprising ways. During his tenure at Transas from 2015 to 2018, he discussed how machine learning could optimize routings and improve efficiency. One of the great innovations that AI can bring is the automation of repetitive tasks, allowing industry professionals to manage several ships simultaneously. This not only reduces human error, but also improves compliance with regulations. Imagine a future where AI not only facilitates maritime training, but also makes safety management much more efficient. This transformation could be the key to safer and more effective maritime transportation, showing that technology really can change the game! 2wDelivery, perhaps, but, without better contract conditions and a less adversarial approach to contracting, it's hard to see the positive impact upon civils contractors. Not to be critical of AI, but there's a larger fish to fry for the here and now.
