We were thrilled to receive the award for ‘ESG Champion of the Year’ last night at the China-Britain Business Council's 2025 ‘China- Scottish Business Awards’ in Glasgow.   The award, which celebrates Chinese and Scottish businesses who have demonstrated their commitment to ESG strategies over the past year in either Scotland or China in support of Net Zero, recognised the opening of our new, $60 million state of the art manufacturing facility in Xuzhou – a facility that has set new standards for Weir in terms of efficiency and sustainability.   Officially opened in March 2024, the Xuzhou facility was built with sustainability at its core, leveraging automation to make operations safer, while using latest technology to reduce emissions, energy, water and waste.   Our Chief Legal Officer, Graham Vanhegan was on hand to collect the award on behalf of our colleagues who have been instrumental in making the new Xuzhou facility a success. We also offer congratulations to all of the award winners and nominees on the night.   Learn more about our Xuzhou facility and the award win on our newsroom: https://lnkd.in/eWmX65qi   #WeAreWeir #MoreSustainableMining
