Today's Musing; If the unelected Supreme Court could thwart Parliamentary legislation per example selection of judges and replacing the same with judges selecting judges for apex court rarely seen in any successful democracy around the world, why can't unelected governors do the same? Please note that I am not in favour of unelected judges and governors should have authority to thwart law passed by either parliament or assembly. This is nothing less than the autocracy of unelected in democratic governance.

📢 We think the codes of conduct that exist in Parliament should be put on a statutory footing so that they can be enforced. Trust in politics and democracy is eroded if people feel that our elected representatives are not being held to account for wrongdoing. The Ministerial Code of Conduct should be put on a statutory footing so it can be enforced. This will help rebuild trust between our elected representatives and the public and clean up politics. Its very interesting fact that everybody like political joke, story, news and its very entertaining too. In current scenario, there is a governance system for the country which is managed by a political party means there is a Party base Parliament. Now can we think of new governance system for the county which can be based on Party less Parliament? Whether our constitution provides the power or grants any authority to make party base parliament? #partybaseparliament #politicalparty If yes, where? and if, no then from which law such party base parliament come or exist with such a enormous power to decide the fate of country and people of country ? Can we think of a Party less Parliament? #partylessparliament #politicalparty Your comment pl....

The case in Ondo is more troubling as the serving governor, previously a strong advocate for constitutional adherence, now seems to defy his own wise words when faced with a similar situation. The concern here is not just hypocrisy but the failure of democratic institutions to uphold the rule of law, protect the constitution, and establish norms that safeguard democracy. Sadly, In the absence of true patriots and institutional failures, people are left with political arrangements that protect only the interests of politicians and their associates. https://lnkd.in/dkwM3qQs
