Your support feels like a strong espresso on a Monday morning - much needed and highly appreciated. It's like I'm on a mission to shake up the corporate world, challenging norms and adding some extra spice.
- DEI stands for diversity, equity and inclusion. - These are the values that guide our business and brand identity. - We believe that by fostering a culture of awareness and respect for different perspectives, backgrounds and experiences, we can create a more innovative, productive and sustainable organization. ## Our DEI initiatives and practices In this blog post, we will share some of the initiatives and practices that we have implemented to promote DEI in our workplace and in our interactions with our customers, partners and stakeholders. Some of these initiatives include: - Creating a DEI committee that oversees and monitors our progress and performance on various aspects of diversity, equity and inclusion. - Providing regular training and workshops for our employees on topics such as **unconscious bias**, cultural competence, allyship and inclusive communication. - Developing a hiring and retention strategy that aims to attract and retain diverse talent, and to ensure fair and equitable compensation and career development opportunities for all. - Engaging with our customers, partners and stakeholders through surveys, feedback sessions, events and social media to understand their needs, expectations and experiences with our brand and products. - Supporting and partnering with local and global organizations that advocate for social justice, human rights and environmental sustainability. ## Our benefits and challenges We will also highlight some of the benefits and challenges that we have encountered along the way, and how we are continuously learning and improving our efforts. ## What is unconscious bias? Unconscious bias is the tendency to make judgments or decisions based on stereotypes, assumptions or preferences that are not based on rational or factual evidence. Unconscious bias can affect how we perceive, evaluate, interact with or treat others who are different from ourselves. Unconscious bias can influence our hiring, promotion, performance evaluation, teamwork, customer service, leadership, innovation and creativity. Unconscious bias can be reduced by becoming aware of it, challenging it, seeking feedback, diversifying our exposure and perspectives, and creating inclusive policies and practices.

Diversity. For some, it's just an empty concept; for others, it's a corporate obligation they don't understand. At Grinity, we approach #diversity in our way, but it's one of our core values - what's more beneficial than when everyone brings something new and different to the table? In May, we delved into the theme of generations to celebrate this year's #EuropeanDiversityMonth. Each generation is different and offers a unique perspective on the world. What is typical for each generation? And how do people contribute to the #teamspirit based on this? Listen to the short stories of our colleagues from the Prague office. #consultancywithpassion

Happy Pride to everyone celebrating 🏳️🌈, especially in Vienna! but from a business perspective "Why companies need to have Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) like Pride! 1. Reputation and Brand Image: A company that follows CSR practices is likely to have a better reputation and brand image. Consumers are becoming more aware of the impact of their purchasing decisions on society and the environment. A company that is seen as socially responsible is likely to attract more customers and retain existing ones. 2. Attracting and Retaining Employees: Employees are also becoming more conscious of the social and environmental impact of their work. Companies that follow CSR practices are likely to attract and retain employees who are committed to making a positive impact on society. 3.Access to Capital: Investors are also becoming more interested in companies that follow CSR practices. Companies that have a good track record in CSR are more likely to attract investment capital. 4.Risk Management: Companies that follow CSR practices are better equipped to manage risks. This includes risks related to environmental disasters, product recalls, and ethical violations. By following CSR practices, a company can minimize these risks and protect its reputation. 5.Contributing to Society: Finally, companies have a responsibility to contribute to society. By following CSR practices, a company can make a positive impact on society and the environment. This includes supporting local communities, reducing carbon emissions, and promoting diversity and inclusion. as said by Rommelspacher & Crowther. Thank you! Hamidreza Azarbad

*Embracing our Diversity* Yesterday on the central day of Pride Month, I had the opportunity to share and reflect on fundamental concepts such as intersectionality, power and privilege in the Lima office. It is important to mention that during the last four weeks, the Pride+ BRG has been able to deploy all the hard-planned virtual and hybrid events to continue consolidating inclusive and safe spaces, thus demonstrating our commitment to diversity here at #ThermoFisherScientific In the time I had in the morning we talked about: intersectionality, power and privilege, since as Marcelo Baudino says, "we cannot really get involved without first having recognized our privileges". And it is from our professional sphere, where we spend most of our time every day, where we can/should also be *agents of change* and take advantage of these spaces to learn and relearn. "Intersectionality" helps us realize that each human being is the sum of many factors that define our identity, a way of looking at our realities and how they affect each person differently. Talking about "privilege", being such a personal and broad topic, can be summarized as something "you haven't had to go through" rather than something you have gone through or had. The "Power/Privilege Wheel" (by Sylvia Duckworth's) helped me visualize and reflect on how our life experiences may differ from others. Talking about these topics, although uncomfortable at first, is crucial for our personal and professional evolution. Yesterday again we managed to raise awareness and celebrate that above all: we are human beings, colors can vary... #ProudToBePart #PrideMonth2024 An special thank you María Polo Capuñay for the valuable conversation that reinforced these concepts!

Empower People with Career Development as a Growth Mantra - Advocate for Diversity, Inclusion and Impact - Connect People
Today, let's celebrate World Cultural Diversity Day ! On that day, I'm reminded of the bridges I've crossed and built along my journey across #cultures. Born and raised in the French countryside with an Italian heritage, I ventured to Sweden where the threads of my personal and professional life intertwined. I'm never as thrilled and energized as when I'm among a culturally diverse community as my work currently allows me at Scania Group Bridging cultures has been a #cornerstone of my life, teaching me invaluable #lessons: - Building Bridges: Just as a #bridge connects two shores, embracing cultural diversity has created #connections beyond borders that I cherish everyday in my professional and my personal spheres. - Collaborating in Diversity: Each culture I've encountered has been a pillar fostering my #understanding of culturally diverse perspectives. I experienced that, together, we are stronger and more resilient. - Navigating Complexity: Navigating cultural complexities requires foremost #curiosity, patience, and an open mind. Nothing comes by default, everything has to be explored and discussed to build a common ground. The book "The Culture Map" by Erin Meyer has been a guiding light for me offering insights that have deepened my self-knowledge as well as fine-tuned my communication and my interactions. Let's continue to build bridges celebrating the diversity brought by each culture 🤩 #CulturalDiversityDay #BridgingCultures #GlobalCommunity #Collaboration #DiverseTeams Find more information about the Cultural Diversity Day in the first comment 👇
